Just days before the David Foster & Friends tour kickoff, Charice recorded a new song with renowned music producer, Jim Beanz.

News of Charice’s new dance single first broke out in a press conference in Thailand last July 23, 2010. After being asked about her second single, Charice said that it would not be from her self-titled album, “Charice” since they’re looking for something faster and more dance than “Pyramid.” “Something like Lady Gaga,” Charice further explained. Ya’ boy Iyaz is at no. 27. Surprisingly, Charice ranks ahead of High School Musical stars Ashley Tisdale (# 44) and Vanessa Hudgens (# 51) although Zac Efron proves still popular at # 33. Just five weeks after its debut in the US Billboard Dance/Club Play Song chart, international Filipino singer Charice’s song “Pyramid” has had even the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s song “Telephone” eating dust.

For the week ending April 3, “Pyramid” is up from number 26 to 22 vis-avis “Telephone” which plunges to number 25 from number 18 after peaking at number one in the chart. Read the full story
