The August 2011 issue of J-14 Magazine became available on newsstands last July 12, and Chasters who bought copies were in for a big thrill - as Charice was proclaimed the No. 2 Hottest Girl in J-14′s Hot List.
No. 1 on the list is Miley Cyrus who stole the top spot from Selena Gomez (who got multiple first place finishes in past Hot Lists). Selena is now in the fourth spot below Demi Lovato, who got third place. While country superstar Taylor Swift nabbed the fifth spot. Read the full story

Charice has been rated as the “most likely” contender to replace Justin Bieber as the biggest name in music, according to UK newspaper, The Independent.
The Independent article, titled “Bieber fever? Get over it! Meet the new kids on the block,” identifies 10 young singers that could take Bieber’s mantle. The list included 10-year-olds Jackie Evancho and Heather Russell, Hollywood star Will Smith’s kids, Jaden (12) and Willow (10), and Sweden’s 18-year-old veteran, Amy Diamond, who has 6 albums (including a ‘best of’) behind her already. AOL has included Charice in their list of “21 Hottest Music Stars Under 21,” along with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Sean Kingston and more of the usual suspects.

Born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco, the young, petite Filipina singer with the powerful voice is now simply known as Charice. After making it to the finals of Little Big Star, an American Idol type show in the Philippines, she was invited to appear on a South Korean talent show called Star King. Soon after, Charice became a YouTube sensation and her fanbase on the infamous video site continues to grow. Thanks to her YouTube success she was noticed by Ellen and invited by the popular talk show host to appear on her show, introducing her for the first time ever to the American audience.
