Charice’s continuing rise in the Land of the Rising Sun was further illustrated by a Top 10 spot for her Christmas single ‘Happy Christmas (War is Over)” in the illustrious Tokio Hot 100 chart show on J-WAVE radio.
Her version of John Lennon’s classic Christmas song, “Happy Christmas (War is Over),” was recorded this year as the theme tune to J-WAVE radio’s winter campaign, entitled ‘Love and Peace’. Released on November 26, it entered the chart at No 7 and has climbed one place to No 6 in less than two weeks. Read the full story

Konnichiwa everyone! Japan is gearing up for Charice’s first solo concert tour next year with a flurry of activities by our beloved princess. She’s recorded a Christmas song for her Japanese fans, will have a free mini live concert next month and interviews with her are now coming out in the Japanese press. Read the full story

NOV. 26 UPDATE: Tickets to Charice’s mini live concert will be given to 30 pairs of lucky winners. You can apply for the ticket raffle here. Charice recorded John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas (War is Over)” which will be used as the theme song for J-WAVE radio’s winter campaign entitled “Love and Peace, Wishes Come True”.
The theme for J-Wave’s winter campaign this year is “Love and Peace”. John Lennon sings “War is over, if you want it…” in “Happy Christmas (War is Over)” which shows his desire for love and peace. Read the full story
