Charice on Vacation

We’ve come across some new pictures on the web showing Charice with Mom, brother Carl and friends lately. Looks like Charice is enjoying her vacation and spending valuable time with her family.

We are indeed glad to see the pictures with her Mom as we know that keeping ties with one’s family is very important especially in the Filipino/asian culture.

We know that Chasters are quite disappointed that there are no news about her career right now or what’s going on, let’s just say, enjoy your time and your vacation in the Philippines Charice and when you are ready, we’ll be there to report about it.

Here’s another one that makes us really happy:

To be launched on International Women’s Day, 8 March 2013, the song is a rallying cry that inspires listeners to join the drive for women’s rights and gender equality. “One Woman” was written for UN Women, the global champion for women and girls, to celebrate its mission and work to improve women’s lives around the world. This year, International Women’s Day will focus on ending violence against women — a gross human rights violation that affects up to 7 in 10 women and a top priority for UN Women. @OfficialCharice

This post is for all of those who are quick to judge @OfficialCharice

Everybody in the entertainment industry knows that being in the spotlight at a young age can take away precious moments of one’s childhood. Child stars are pretty much forced to grow up faster because of all the extra work, pressure, ethics and environment. Then there is also the part of them having to maintain an image that is marketable in the eyes of their label / management. Imagine having to juggle between school, practice, and work while also trying to squeeze in time for family and friends. Yes, they trade those moments for fortune and fame, but deep down inside I truly believe that there are always times when a kid just wants to be a kid. Other big name stars have experienced the same dilemma, and many of them eventually break down or decide to leave the entertainment industry to pursue a more personal and private kind of lifestyle.

Charice has been making appearances since she was just a few years old until now. She has basically worked more hours and years then most people her age. Her style and voice has changed consistently over the years, which is a natural part of the aging process. Everybody goes through this in life. Trying to find a style that fits them, only to find out that they dislike it and try something new again and again. Maybe Charice really likes this new style and maybe she’s thinking of growing her hair back out. Whatever the case, I think she owes it to herself to make her own decisions for a change. (As long as those decisions don’t put her in any immediate danger or cause permanent injury).

Only Charice herself knows exactly what she wants in life and in which direction she wants her career to go. Our only prerogative is to decide whether or not we want to go along for the ride and support her. Everybody seems to have a different image of Charice that they prefer. Family, fans, her label, and maybe even Hollywood in general. Who knows? But I can only imagine the feeling of having everybody around you trying to dictate your life, especially fans that she has so much appreciation for. After a while it must be hard not to get annoyed or lose trust in those people. There is no possible way one person can please everybody, and there is not, JUST ONE, right look for her. There is not, JUST ONE, right look for anybody. All of the biggest stars in Hollywood change their style on a regular basis. This is also what helps them draw the attention of the viewers like us.

As for her carreer. Charice did have a busy schedule for 2012. Here is a list of guestings that I can remember. (Please forgive me if I forgot a few Cha)

- Did a photoshoot for Preview Magazine
- Had the airing of the “One For The Heart” Valentine Concert (Februrary 12, 2012)
- Infinity Tour Concerts: Dubai, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Hawaii. (March 2, 2012 – March 21, 2012)
- Won the Favorite Asian Act from Nickelodeon (April 1, 2012)
- Performed at the KababayanFest 2012 in California (June 30, 2012)
- Flew back and forth every week during the X Factor Philippines. (June 23, 2012 – Oct. 14, 2012)
- Sang live with Gary V on ASAP (Oct. 14, 2012)
- The US launch of Here Comes The Boom, which she received high praises on. (Oct. 9, 2012)
- Interview on “The Couch” broadcasted live on TV (October 10, 2012)
- Interviewed on MySpace (Oct. 11, 2012)
- Performed at TOFA Awards in NYC (Oct. 27, 2012)
- Infinity Tour Hawaii (Nov. 3, 2012)
- Appeared on The Buzz, KrisTV, and ASAP Chillout (December 2, 2012)
- And was also mentioned in various magazines and blogs throughout the year…

To me this seems like one heck of a schedule. There are many other huge celebrities out there that make only a handful of appearances every year, and the only reason why you hear about them so much is because TV shows like TMZ, Extra and ET like to have reporters follow them and shove cameras in their faces so they have something to talk about every day.

To even balance a international schedule like Charice did is absolutely amazing for a 20 year old. Give her some credit. Give her a break. Just appreciate what she has brought to the table and contributed to us. When any of you are going through hard times in life, how do you feel when your elders constantly pressure you with lectures and advices? In the end, you would really prefer being with a few close friends who will comfort and support you in making your decision regardless of what it is. If you made the right choice, you will celebrate together. If you made the wrong choice, they wil console you and find ways to make you feel better, and ready to tackle on the next obstacle in life. Nobody likes being told what to do. We are humans, not puppets.

I know some people will agree with me and some will disagree. That’s fine. It’s just how life is. There are BILLIONS of people in this world, and if we didn’t have different opinions on things life would be boring as hell. Just remember that just because you read something, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you interpreted it correctly. It is extremely easy to misunderstand messages trying to be portrayed on social media, so please take a second to make sure you understand 100% what the writer is trying to say before you bash them. I say all of this with the utmost respect for everybody. Spread love…not hate. Looking forward to a great year for Charice. Peace out~! #LeggoCharice2013

Keep it Poppin on the 11th Annual Popstar “Poptastic” Awards

“Do you ever wonder why? This music gets you high? It takes you on a ride. Feel it when our body starts to rock. Baby you can’t stop. And the music’s all you got. Come on now, this must be pop!!!”

Yup! That is the chorus of the song entitled “Pop” by 90′s boy bond N’Sync. Of course we’re not going to talk about them (Hotness alert!!! Justin Timberlake!!!) but we will focus on a more important matter and that is the (drum roll please) 11th Annual Popstar “Poptastic” Awards.

For those who doesn’t know, Popstar is an entertainment magazine on the internet. See website Popstaronline.com. It gives articles, photos, videos, contest and etc. on the latest entertainment news that teens and the young at heart absolutely love. Think showbiz personalities like One Direction, Big Time Rush, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and more.

Guess who is nominated as the Best Female Singer? No doubt your guess is right..CHARICE! She’s going to go up against other artist such as Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna to name a few. So this means we have to ready our pointy fingers and click on Charice’s name with much love and devotion like what we did on the recent Nicklelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. (Voting is done once per day and it must be received by April 30.

So Chasters be ready to have a raccoon like eye bags and muscular pointy fingers as we vote our hearts out to our beloved Charice. As they say in the Popstar website: What’s Now? What’s new? What’s next? The answer to these questions is simple…Charice.

Happy 20th Birthday Charice

Thank you for your comments.  Just a friendly reminder, please limit your greetings to a sentence. Add your username, location, and year when you became a fan.  Let’s give Charice a chance to read all of the greetings.  Thank you.

Oprah’s The Most Talented Girl In The World will be turning 20 this May 10th. And she’s definitely not a young girl anymore but a grown up woman.

Chasters around the world are thinking of greeting Charice but how? Through video greetings? Maybe a choreographed dance like what Tintol and team did last year? But how to include Chasters abroad?

One suggestion from Bluemax is to research the Chaster countries of the world and create a global Chaster map. What we can offer here in Charicemania is to use the site as a platform to send your birthday greetings and at the same time, collect Chasters’ whereabouts all around the world.

So just leave your comment below and for the mechanics, it’s easier to add just one greeting line, your username or name and location and since when you are following Charice’s career. Isn’t that interesting?

Maybe we could make another booklet like this:

We definitely miss her long black hair but we also like her short blonde look during the asian tour. It’s exciting to see what’s up next with Charice’s look.

Infinity Japan Tour Videos 2012

So we thought the solo concert in Japan last year was great already but those who witnessed this Infinity concert in Tokyo this time are swearing, this is way better than her past concerts! Even Charice’s musical director and keyboardist Troy Laureta tweeted “Love Japan! Perhaps one of the best shows we’ve done on the Infinity Tour! Thank you, Tokyo! We love you!” It was indeed an amazing, exhilarating show, with schoolgirls in uniform, teenage boys and girls, couples in their 20s, office workers in their 30s, people in their 40s, 50s and 60s rocking it! To those who have doubted Charice losing her voice, sorry to disappoint you but her voice was as strong and even better than ever. She has topped herself, if that is even possible.

Tyo 199x3002 Infinity Japan Tour Videos 2012Charice has matured so much as an artist. Her present style and image is more than fitting for this concert tour and we really have to respect her for that. To those who have criticized her new look, watching her live may be the only way to erase all doubts. She was so confident and relaxed, something that can be attributed to her being comfortable in her own skin, as she admitted in interviews that she has been wanting this look for the longest time.  The Japanese stylists even made her “Final Fantasy” inspired new look way better for her and yes, including the new tattoo! She looks fierce and sweet, tomboyish and feminine, edgy and soft, sexy and cute all at the same time. What else could you ask for?

Charice also sang a new song entitled “Everything”.  The story behind this song is that music.jp and rekochoku.jp,  two of the major music download sites for cellphones, called for song requests for Charice to cover.  The majority requested Japanese songstress Misia’s “Everything”.  So Charice ended up co-producing her own version of the song with new lyrics, different from that of Misia’s.

Charice’s “Everything” is now available via cellphone download only at rekochoku.jp and music.jp until June 30th.  It will also be available for both PC and cellphone download on another major music download site, mora.jp from March 21st.  There is still no word on its availability on Japan iTunes, nor has it been announced if it will be released worldwide.

So here’s a preview of the song as performed in Tokyo with special thanks to our ninja “Abilidades”:

Troy’s If I Ain’t Got You:

Videos Uploaded by our Japan Super Ninja Chaster: Abilidades (Justcharrie)

At the end of the show, Charice filmed the audience using her iPhone including herself with her back to the audience.

Another highlight was Troy! He sang “If I Ain’t Got You”, which was not sung in other countries in the Infinity tour thus far. He sounded really great, we should wait for this guy to have a concert on his own. We need a name for his fans too: Troyans from Troymania! (Ok I’m a fan really.)

A sad incident occurred after the concert though, when people were leaving Charice’s concert, the earthquake alarm went on and we heard it was a big one. We pray for the safety of Japan and all its people. Thank you Japanese Chasters, thank you Japanese audience!

Charice Rocked Araneta Coliseum

“Manila, Manila. I keep coming back to Manila. Simply no place like Manila. Manila I’m coming home!”

Yes. That is a famous Philippine song and it’s very appropriate for Charice as she came back to her home country to bring joy to our hearts and ears as well! So people thought they’d go to a concert but end up coming home from a wild party!

As soon as Charice set foot at Ninoy Aquino International airport, there were only two new hot topics: her new short, dyed hair and her fresh tattoo! Reading the comments on Twitter, it was so unbelievable how they attacked her “literally”! It maybe true that Charice can’t please everyone but do they have to be so mean?

Charice sporting a very cool tattoo on her left arm bought the house down! Everyone was screaming happily. (Hopefully, Chasters throats are okay) The audience were also singing and dancing! (Even with left feet!!! LOL!)

Charice should have been nervous before going on stage at the Araneta Coliseum because of the pressure the press and the numerous Twitter (yes she was trending again) comments addressing her new look! She’s finding her style, experimenting on her own way, let her be. She’s still in the learning and developing phase of her life. Being true to herself is what makes a person happy and human. And we know that Charice indeed is very talented and whether some of her fans and detractors will like her style or not, her confidence alone is very amazing.

Let’s check a few highlights of the Araneta dome party

There was a very cute moment when Charice’s sang Lighthouse with her aunt.

She showed her amazing versatile voice, her dancing skills, she was comfortable moving on stage. That’s the new (and old) Charice!

In Love So Deep

Faithfully

Run The World

Non-Chasters who attended the concert were converted, (they just couldn’t deny her talent), something they’ve not seen yet on local artists. Chasters were even more surprised and amazed. This is not a DFF concert, it’s her solo concert: her own style, her own renditions, her interactions with the audience, everything was well-planned on stage.

There was an added bonus of course in the form of Charice’s Little Big Star pals namely Makisig, Ralph, Kyle, Gian and Sam Concepcion in which they sang “Moves Like Jagger”.

The most anticipated duet with Iyaz whom they renamed as “Ayas” now?

They witnessed a world-class talent! Sorry for those who missed this chance, better luck next time. It is indeed a different feeling experiencing her perform live, she’s one of a kind that will give you both goosebumps with that unique voice!

There’s no denying it, it was a phenomenal show from a phenomenal artist named Charice!

So what else has made this tour special? Her rockin’ band! Each one of them is so talented (not to mention good looking!) that the girls were screaming and cheering for them as well.

The Band with Heartbreak Survivor

A toast for Troy – kampaii! My goodness, every Chaster should watch this cool guy in action – he’s unbelievably talented!

Charice and KC Concepcion who would both judge the Philippine version of X-Factor.

Finale -Charice’s signature song from Whitney Houston, “I Will Always Love You, Pilipinas kong mahal, mga kababayan ko.”

For those who couldn’t make it, well you’ve missed witnessing the best live voice of the most talented girl in the world. Overall it was fun, she was a rocker, a balladeer, a dancer, hip hopper, showing her own style like no other musician out there can do right now. Charice is so versatile, incomparable in any sort of song genre! So her image change is almost minor but very fitting on this tour.

To our angel Charice you will always be tattooed in our hearts!

Special thanks to Manette153 for the great videos and Princess Serena.
