I received the following special prayer request this morning from Vicki Smith, who is Lisa Smith’s mom. Lisa and Charice first met at the Best Buddies gala event in Texas, where Lisa performed in sign language alongside Charice as she sang ‘Note to God.’ More recently, Lisa appeared with Charice at Chicago’s Rosemont Theater, and is scheduled to perform twice more, including this Sunday at the ‘Hard Rock Live’ and in Los Angeles, Calif., next Thursday.

” We are asking all Lisa and Charice fans to please pray for Lisa on these next two performances they are doing. Lisa will be flying to FL for the DF concert at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel on Sunday… then to Los Angeles on Thursday. However, Lisa is still having terrible back and hip issues…. seems like the enemy is trying to do all he can to discourage her from performing and sharing her gift from God. Little does he know Lisa has that extra chromosome... full of love and a tenacious spirit, passion for the gift God has given her… and an extra dose of Down syndrome stubbornness to continue on… no matter what!!!
She is MUCH better prepared to do “Note to God” and the finale song than she was for Best Buddies and the Chicago tour stop. She needed that extra time to perfect some of the signs she was doing incorrectly. I think I told you she had just over a week to prepare for the BB event. Now she knows and understands the song and the signs and is SO ready to do it again!! I hope it will go over as good or better than the first one did. I could not talk her out of going to FL or CA…. she does not want to give into the pain she is experiencing… therefore, she will need all the prayers she can muster up from her friends!!! “
