We’ve come across some new pictures on the web showing Charice with Mom, brother Carl and friends lately. Looks like Charice is enjoying her vacation and spending valuable time with her family.
We are indeed glad to see the pictures with her Mom as we know that keeping ties with one’s family is very important especially in the Filipino/asian culture.
We know that Chasters are quite disappointed that there are no news about her career right now or what’s going on, let’s just say, enjoy your time and your vacation in the Philippines Charice and when you are ready, we’ll be there to report about it.
MARCH 6th UPDATE: VIDEO ADDED Charice is one of the artists who participated in the United Nation’s theme song “One Woman” which will be released on International Women’s Day on March 8th.
Video of One Woman: A song for UN Women:
Video description: “On 24 February 2011, the celebration of the launch of UN Women in New York concluded with the performance of the song “One Woman.” It was written for the occasion, with lyrics by Beth Blatt, and music co-composed by Graham Lyle and Clay.”

“From China to Costa Rica, from Mali to Malaysia acclaimed singers and musicians, women and men, have come together to spread a message of unity and solidarity: We are “One Woman”.” To be launched on International Women’s Day, 8 March 2013, the song is a rallying cry that inspires listeners to join the drive for women’s rights and gender equality. “One Woman” was written for UN Women, the global champion for women and girls, to celebrate its mission and work to improve women’s lives around the world. This year, International Women’s Day will focus on ending violence against women — a gross human rights violation that affects up to 7 in 10 women and a top priority for UN Women. As people everywhere prepare their commemorations, “One Woman” reminds us that together, we can overcome violence and discrimination: “We Shall Shine!” Join us on 8 March to help spread the word and enjoy this musical celebration or women worldwide. After weeks of lying low and having a well-deserved rest, Charice has been spotted in Japan! Charice arrived in Tokyo last February 4th and is in talks with her label Warner Japan for a project that is being kept under wraps for now. In the meantime, Warner Japan has been posting pictures on its Twitter account @wmj_intl. We don’t know how long Charice will be in Japan so follow Warner Japan for possibly more pictures! This was posted last February 5th, with a short description saying “Hello everyone in Japan! I’m back after having been gone for a while.” It’s a little dark, but we’re not complaining. It shows Charice at the Warner Japan office wearing a hat which she usually does when she is in Japan.
Another picture was posted the next day, February 6th, showing Charice with a bamboo stick! What’s in it Cha? They usually put steamed rice in bamboo but the caption says “Enjoying dinner at a Japanese restaurant after a staff meeting…Also drank sake (Japanese wine) since I’m already 20 years old.” (Note: The legal age in Japan is 20.) Sake in bamboo sounds good!
This last picture was also posted but has been erased. Luckily we have super fast “nin-chas” who managed to save the picture.
So what do you think she is up to? Will it be another album? A concert? Whatever it is, we can’t wait!
How about a compilation of news, interviews and videos on Charice promoting the movie “Here Comes The Boom”? Charice is busy in the US again and there are so many news coming out, if we missed something, please add a comment.
Starting with Hollywood Life’s exclusive interview talking about “Fifty Shades of Grey”

From one international phenomenon to another, Charice apparently can’t get enough of E L James‘ racy novel Fifty Shades of Grey! “I just finished the book … and I think people would get why I love it,” she told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Oct. 9 at the NYC premiere of her new movie Here Comes The Boom. “Of course, it’s not only about the naughty stuff. … It’s a different love story, and I love it.”
An edgier Charice debuts a dramatically layered haircut at the Here Comes the Boom premiere in New York City on October 9, 2012. Last February, Charice sported long, stick-straight locks and heavy bangs at the Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards & Campbell’s AdDress Your Heart at Jazz event in New York City.
Charice with co-stars Kevin James, Salma Hayek and producer Adam Sandler attended the upcoming film Here Comes The Boom Premiere held at AMC Lincoln Square on Tuesday, October 9, in New York City. Continue Reading
At last we have news about Charice! We are glad to see her again this time promoting the movie “Here Comes The Boom” starring Kevin James! Official release date in the United States on October 12th, 2012. Some lucky Chasters who had the opportunity to watch the movie’s pre-screenings in different locations reported that Charice had a wonderful role and that she was there from beginning to end. Check your local cinemas for details.
“I’m Charice and I play as Malia dela Cruz, she’s a Filipino student and she’s a brainiac, musical genius.”
Charice is back in a singing contest, not as contestant but as judge this time. She joins Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera and Pilita Corrales as judges in X-Factor Philippines. KC Concepcion hosts the show. X-Factor is a music competition franchise created by Simon Cowell in the United Kingdom. The winner will receive cash, other prizes and a recording contract. One of the most successful winners of the X-Factor (UK) is Leona Lewis.
Charice’s X-Factor taping
Charice mentioned in some of her old interviews that she joined about 100 singing contests before Oprah and Ellen Degeneres invited her to guest in their shows. She was mentored by famous songwriter David Foster and performed with singers such as Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. She also appeared in the musical hit TV series Glee and some TV shows in other countries. She released two international albums “Charice” and “Infinity” wherein the first album landed 8th on the Billboard 200 Chart. With these impressive achievements under her name, she is more than qualified to be a judge in X-Factor. We can expect Charice to share her honest opinions and experiences that she has had in her long singing career.
During the live auditions, Charice sang some songs to entertain the audience in between taping breaks.

Charice filmed a comedy movie “Here Comes The Boom” last year and finally a trailer has been released. Are you excited to see her on the big screen? Charice plays Malia Dela Cruz, a high school student. Kevin James plays Scott Voss, a biology teacher who tries to save the school’s music program by raising money through moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. Salma Hayek and Henry Winkler also join James in this hilarious movie.
Charice can be seen in different scenes in the trailer: sitting in class, watching and cheering in a crowd, dancing, and playing the piano.
Indeed our greatest treasure ever; Charice is back again in her home country for the X Factor Philippines.
Last May 14 Charice arrived in Manila showing yet another tattoo, which reads, “I never knew true love until someone broke my heart.” Awww!! Tissue please. Oops wait; before you guys starts to cry…sorry but Charice won’t be sharing her story. Continue Reading
“Are you ready to rumble?” Absolutely! Especially Chasters with their matching pitchforks and torches all armed and ready to defend Charice. Well that is a bit of an exaggeration but still “To arms!”
Anyway, by now most people must have heard or read in the news lately about the controversy involving three DJs of the radio station Magic 89.9 and Charice. Guess who the DJs are? Read on! Continue Reading
“Do you ever wonder why? This music gets you high? It takes you on a ride. Feel it when our body starts to rock. Baby you can’t stop. And the music’s all you got. Come on now, this must be pop!!!” Yup! That
is the chorus of the song entitled “Pop” by 90′s boy bond N’Sync. Of course we’re not going to talk about them (Hotness alert!!! Justin Timberlake!!!) but we will focus on a more important matter and that is the (drum roll please) 11th Annual Popstar “Poptastic” Awards. For those who doesn’t know, Popstar is an entertainment magazine on the internet. See website Popstaronline.com. It gives articles, photos, videos, contest and etc. on the latest entertainment news that teens and the young at heart absolutely love. She’s going to go up against other artist such as Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna to name a few. So this means we have to ready our pointy fingers and click on Charice’s name with much love and devotion like what we did on the recent Nicklelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. So Chasters be ready to have a raccoon like eye bags and muscular pointy fingers as we vote our hearts out to our beloved Charice. As they say in the Popstar website: What’s Now? What’s new? So we know that Charice has been quiet lately after her successful Infinity Tour in asia. But we are glad to share this video with you which was filmed during the photoshooting for Sterling products, January 16th this year when she visited Manila, according to her Ninang Michelle from Sterling.
We definitely miss her long black hair but we also like her short blonde look during the asian tour. It’s exciting to see what’s up next with Charice’s look.
