The Show in Daly City where Charice was scheduled to perform has been postponed and/or canceled.
To our Filipino friends, Ticket holders, Artists:
With much regret, the two concerts on Nov. 18th in Los Angeles, and Nov. 19th in Daly City, are being postponed. Artist Magic Entertainment had contracted with a third party broker for several of the best Filipino artists to perform at both concerts, including: Anne Curtis, Cristine Reyes, Mark Bautista, and Bayani Agbayani. While we at Artist Magic paid the performance fees to this third party as contracted, something fell apart and these incredible artists will not be making the trip to the United States to perform as expected. While it is unclear exactly what happened, it is clear they are not coming.
We will work with the artists’ managers to arrange for the postponed concerts. We anticipate resolving any issues and offering these shows in February or March of next year. We intend to work directly with the artists’ managers to ensure we can provide quality programs for our Filipino community. As for myself and on behalf of my entire team at AME365.com, we would like to apologize for not being able to provide our Filipino friends and ticket holders with these promising shows, and also to apologize to the artists for not providing a platform for them to perform in front of their adoring fans. We also sincerely apologize to both Charice and Dan Hill who were both ready to perform.
It is extremely sad to have to delay two beautiful concerts, but we certainly are looking forward to the new shows in 2012. Meanwhile, tickets may be refunded from the outlets where they were purchased. – Executive Producers
This Saturday, November 19th, Charice would be the special main act at a thanksgiving eve event, “The Handog Pasasalamat Unity Concert”, to be held at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. 9/11 VIDEO UPDATES AND REVIEWS… It’s been a decade since the World Trade Center terrorist attacks happened, and even though the feelings of loss and fear still lingers over Ground Zero, it doesn’t mean we’ll just try to forget it. No matter how you look at it, 9/11 is a historic event that should be remembered for the way that it changed lives. And this year, the NFL opening season games will include multiple tributes to honor the anniversary of the fall of the Twin Towers. Charice will headline events in Florida during the
NFL match between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans. She is slated to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” at opening and “God Bless America” during the halftime show.
Watch below, with great reviews of her performance…
. Charice performed in front of a packed group to usher in the start of the NFL season on the 10-year anniversary of 9-11. This performance clearly meant a lot to the singer, who even tweeted about her feelings prior to singing for the NFL opener. She said: “Big Day. I need prayers.” Those prayers must have helped because Charice’s voice was flawless as she took on the ‘Star Spangled Banner’, with service members standing by as two jets flew overhead. It was a beautiful way to pay tribute to those who lost their lives ten years ago, as well as to honor the US military… incredible performance. >>Story Here Just try to keep from crying during Charice’s TWO 9/11 performances. We Dare You! Let’s just say, she pretty much brought the house down. Although the day itself was enough to draw tears from just about everyone in the country, her beautiful renditions of “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner” were so smooth and charicematic, we were rendered speechless. >>Story Here In a reportedly stunning separate performance of the national anthem Sunday, singer Charice afterward tweeted, “Shaking… Crying… One more performance,” ahead of singing “God Bless America,” [..afterward...] “I’m done! Tears of joy,” Charice wrote on Twitter once the NFL game was underway. >>Story Here
Charice is not a stranger to these two songs. She has already performed the United States’ national anthem in a Dodgers’ opening game to much critical acclaim; and for “God Bless America”, she performed this during the Martin Luther King Awards in Washington D.C., one of the pre-inaugural events for President Obama in January, 2009. You can watch these two performances below: “Star Spangled Banner” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WG4IkWqHtg “God Bless America” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJUg3wHoRIY If you want to watch Charice sing live on September 11, 2011, you can buy tickets to the game here. For those who prefer watching in the comfort of their homes, be sure to tune in to CBS at about 12 noon or 1 in the afternoon, EST. Charice will sing “Star Spangled Banner” during the tribute before the start of the game, while she’ll sing “God Bless America” during the half-time break. By Sofia Carrera, charicemania.com
Charice is still busy with creating the perfect follow-up to her hit self-titled debut album, “Charice”. The new singles that she released this year like “Louder” and “One Day” are perfect for the younger audience that she’s trying to attract to her music. But older fans are not left out because powerful songs like “Before It Explodes” and “Lost the Best Thing” still showcase the powerful voice that Charice has.
Songwriter/Producer JD Walker
It looks like Charice’s camp is not satisfied yet with these four new singles and they’re continuing to record more songs. Fans might be a little impatient for the 2012 release date of Charice’s sophomore album, but be thankful that they’re not rushing anything and instead, they’re making sure that Charice and her fans only get the best.
And the best is what we’ll get for sure because Charice has worked with topnotch songwriters and music producers for her second album. From Jim Beanz, Claude Kelly, to the Jackie Boyz, and now, JD Walker.
He also included a photo where you could see the three of them in the studio, plus you could see Charice cuddling her cute dog:
JD Walker is a hit songwriter famous for his work with Auburn and Iyaz for the Billboard Hot 100 song, “La La La”. He is a native of Los Angeles but also lived in the West Indies and Jamaica, which helped diversify his musical taste. Walker is also labeled as an urban-pop songwriter/producer, so his preference for fast dance beats is perfect for the sound that Charice is going for in her new album.
