The event benefited A Place Called Home, a South Central-based charity that provides a safe, home-like environment for thousands of at-risk youths.

Oh well…the concert hall accommodates around 1t people but it seems lyk 85-90% were luckily blessed with this fantastic event! as there was a simultaneous Filipino concert happening in Vienna. I heard some would have liked to watch charice’ concert but unfortunately they have already bought their ticket in advance for the other one. Anyway, we support all our great Filipino artists who come to Vienna to entertain us. Honestly, i cudn’t cncntrate much watching charice performance as i want to take a good video out of it…i enjoyed watching it ds morning & ‘m jst screaming wd a big WOW in almost all songs, especially d “Somewhere over d rainbow” and those old tagalog songs! Gosh! so breathtaking indeed! my friends cudn’t beliv how she’s belting out those high notes…’twas truly AMAZING guys! Perhaps, I´m not the right person to write about this gathering because I was not present. But I would naturally want to thank the people who made this gathering a big success.

First of all, Mom Raquel, only an email away, a quick reply and you were all open for ideas already. Thank you very much for giving us your permission to arrange the gathering.

The whole idea was to promote the Valentine´s Day Concert, we are obliged to do that for Charice. We wanted it be successful. We wanted sponsors for those who couldn´t afford the tickets. In the end, I think we did it! It was undeniable.

Nege and Theo were asked by the organizers to have an intermission number during the Chaster’s Gathering. They were hesitant at first because they thought they will perform in front of Charice. They were told they were going to entertain the Chasters while waiting for Charice. Little did they know, that a surprise of a lifetime awaits them! NEGE´s Reflections:

Seeing Charice sing live is every chaster’s desire! Anzai, my classmate; Brille, my brother, we were lucky to have the opportunity to witness such an awesome event.

We left home February 14, 12 am due to excitement, and we took a Bus from our place (Malaybalay City, Bukidnon to CDO~Cagayan de Oro City) took 2 hours or less to arrive. By about 2 am we arrived on CDO and took a quick hot chocolate about 2:45 am then we took a taxi to the airport and arrived there approximately 3 am. Unfortunately, the airport won´t open till 4 am so we had to wait. While waiting, knowing that i’ll be doing a little presentation together with Theodore! We spent the next hour singing/practicing until the gate opened.

We arrived at NAIA Terminal 3, 20 mins ahead of schedule. A fellow chaster Ellayogurt (auntee Ella), gladly agreed to pick us up from the Airport, meeting a distant Chaster, it was so amazing! When she saw me, I jumped into a tight hug! We went to Mall of Asia for lunch and a stroll. A text message took me by surprise, asking where i am already and has a different number so i figured it´s Noellen! We met Noellen and after her brunch, we had to go run to PICC! Together with Ella, Noellen, Anzai, and my brother!

At the PICC Banquet Hall – Pre-Meet and Greet: It was a great time! Knowing those faces unmasked behind their online names! Never have I been in a moment of happiness in my life! I felt the warmth of Love and Joy with my fellow Chasters! All the love and cares expressed in cyber world is given more warmth. As I’ve shared, I´m always amazed of the Chasters love and care with all of us together with our inspiration Charice!

At the Concert Event: This is great! Charice! Finally seeing her perform live. This moment was a blast!

At the Post- Meet and Greet: When I was requested to sing for the Meet and Greet, I was anticipating what song to sing and if I can sing such song. Also I´m hesitating to the odds that Charice might listen to us when we are singing/playing … Good thing it pushed through, but there’s a twist of surprise came in! I thought they played a track! But then on the chasters reaction, all the cheers and as I move to see what it was, it was CHARICE doing a duet with me! In my head I was like OMG OMG! Should I stop singing? Should I faint? Cry? Got mixed emotions. I was so happy yet shy to Charice. Seeing her and having a duet with her. It´s even my first time to be on stage entertaining a group of people (aside from ET room of CM, which I could say helped me a lot to develop some guts and confidence).

I couldn´t even put my self into a stable state of thinking at that moment, should I hug her or if I should ask to hug her? So I missed that part. She sang with us!

THEO’s Reflections

I’ve been following CHADDICTED since 2007 when I first encountered her video – 1st appearance in STAR KING korea – at soompi.com site. Felt goosebumps after watching the vid and mesmerized like those Korean guys. Then I started craving for HD/HQ vids of Charice’s TV guestings, I came across this site charicediva.com and downloaded some HD vids there, then started reading some comments, and enjoying their discussion. until now i’m a consistent lurker there, some1 posted Chaddicted’s YM so I immediately added her and she accepted my invitation. I just wanted to squeeze her for some personal info about CHARICE hahaha, but I think she really got annoyed of me and told me to go to CHARICEMANIA.com. So I did, started chatting there everyday with those wonderful people UNO, CHARIFIED, MADZ, HONEYBEE and GM.

I guess u can call me a VETERAN CHASTER at charicemania, this fansite of charice had been through a lot to keep us chasters connected and support charice every possible way. I salute all the past and new moderators of this site.

Charice really did crossover to me, she’s the only singer that made me glued in my computer every day watching her vids, checking updates, chatting w/ some fellow chaddicts, sharing our opinions each other, sometimes there’s arguments coz we can’t please everybody. Then I created my own YT account and covering some of her songs, creating a tribute, Music Videos for her and upload it for one purpose only to promote and support her. Some friends/barkadaz saw that in YT and they laughed at me bcoz im a METAL FAN why im so GAGA w/ CHARICE. I just ignored them, what can I do?? I’m already addicted to her if only there’s medicine to cure this CHADDICTED VIRUS to myself. I was in a band in HS & College days, my band covering metal songs and competing in ‘battle of the bands.’ I grew up listening to this GENRE of music. Someone noticed my vid in YT I was wearing a SEPULTURA (thrashmetal band) shirt while playing guitar for CHARICE in the s2pidlab vid of mine. He private message me “Dude what are u doing, CHARICE and SEPULTURA doesn’t make a sense???” I guess he’s a METAL FAN also hahaha.

2 weeks prior to the concert I had a motor bike accident again and first thing comes to my mind “OH NO! I’M NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE CONCERT and MEET CHARICE and her FAMILY, not thinking if I broke a bone or something really bad happened to me. My friends rushed me to the hospital and I was admitted for 2 days, luckily I only suffered brushes and sprained left knee and i’m really pissed off at myself that night coz I might let people down. especially TINTOL, coz she’s the one really kept pushing me to do the number in the GATHERING, she really want me to sing hahaha ^___^ if only I knew… hehehe kudos for her and she’s the one helping me out w/ my concert & air tickets.

With my help of my PT cousin and GOD, I was able to recover quickly for the concert, i’m really excited to meet some chasters there.. I flew to manila FEB 14, first flight at 6 am. I think i’m the first chaster to travel that early flight, then i waited for my fellow ilonggo chasters @ the airport, then we went to MOA to have lunch and stroll the mall.

Around 3 pm I received a txt message from TINTOL asking our whereabouts, so we decided to go to the PICC. First chaster I met is TINTOL, as usual she’s very busy fixing lots of things in the venue, we helped her, then we met some chasters in the lobby – NEGE, ANZAI and their companions NOELLEN, IRMSMITH etc., and also the organizers PIN, NARITA and SMEE. Then Tintol told us me and NEGE to practice two songs THE CLIMB and FINGERPRINT. As we’re rehearsing NEGE did really had a hard time perfecting the songs but I managed to help her remain calm. We finished rehearsing, not able to perfect the 2 songs… well “BAHALA NA [oh well].” Then the organizers had a little briefing to us about the concert and meet n greet later. I think Im the luckiest guy in the gathering coz they had a raffle for a free dinner and photo op solo for CHARICE, and my name got picked twice.

At the concert I was surprised coz they had a lot of freebies giving away in the concert, luckily we saw MR. C passing by in our way to the entrance. I managed to take a vid and pic of him…. then concert time, what a great way to intro CHARICE with all the instrumental medley of the songs close to her heart, then HALO intro came in, I felt like i’m watching BEYONCE concert. But still I can’t believe i’m watching CHARICE live performing coz I felt like i’m just watching YT videos. “Can somebody pinch me, i’m in CLOUD9 zone!” Highlight for me was when mommyraqz come up on stage and gave a flower to CHARICE what a sweet moment it is.

After the concert, we go to the venue of the gathering chasters starting to introduce themselves to each other, how they became a CHASTER or CHADDICT. I went outside to take some vid and BAM! I saw a LADY in RED walking towards me and some few chasters outside. That moment MY WORLD IS IN SLOW MOTION as you can see in my YTchannel I captured it and honestly I got STARSTRUCK. I was like she’s a LADY na talaga.. I was so mesmerized, the only words I can say to her is “HELLO CHA” and she replied “HELLO.” I was so stunned there for a few minutes, finally for how many years watching her in YT and in TV, now I see her in person! Then I had this gut feeling that there’s something gonna happen in our number hehehe.

I heard my name called inside together w/ nege and I can see on nege’s face, she’s really nervous. I went back inside, I can hear people say “GO THEO” while I tune the guitar. When we started playing THE CLIMB at the chorus part, I heard a 2nd voice, then I look back – WOAH! It was CHARICE singing too, surprised us all. I look at the crowd, I can see their faces are SHOCKED and me too, and I said to myself, so that’s why the organizers kept pushing me to sing and play the guitar at the gathering in the first place, she wants me to have a surprise of a lifetime and fulfill my dream to JAM with CHARICE. I’m so touched TIN thanks to you, YOU ARE MY GENIE, u granted my wish, if I only knew T__T labyo! I was giggling myself “FINALLY DREAM CAME TRUE” this is really my DREAM to JAM and play guitar w/ CHARICE, you can see my YTchannel, lots of time and efforts I did covering Charice songs w/ the help of a friend, editing videos to help promote Charice to the world. My ultimate goal is wishing that someday CHA will notice my dream to JAM w/ her!!! WHAT A LUCKY CHASTER I AM.

The program proceeded as planned, I got my solo photo op w/ CHA. After a shot, CHA greeted me in CHIPMUNKS voice ”THEO, CAN I SLEEP WITH YOU” LOL hahaha what a sweet chamoment to me. Then I had a group pic with her courtesy of HENRY V. I asked Charice where’s CEIVEN? she pointed out he’s outside watching, so I went outside and met CEIVEN. I shake his hand but he has no clue who I am, he quickly grabbed my ID and said “IKAW PALA YON [ahh so that's who you are]” and we both laughed together. If only MOMMYRAQZ was able to attend the GATHERING coz I really wanted to meet her also. After that CHARICE treated us to another snippet of songs in acapella – PYRAMID and ADAGIO.. I was able to shake her hand and hugged her when she’s saying goodbye to us, I felt like i’m a teenager boy again LOL.

What a day for me, experience of a lifetime, KUYA UNO I know u’re there watching us, I finally made MY DREAM COME TRUE I know u’re happy for me and for all CHASTERS united to make this gathering memorable in our life! I was going in style, my style. This was my first concert in my entire life, and damn if I didn´t want to make history myself this time, at least to make it last as long as my memory. Ready? I have a fabulous camera (my daughter´s), a Casio Exilim Ex-S5 good at 10 megapixel, my Nokia 5310 for video & voice recording, my ears, and my favorite Parker roller ball pen. While I wasn´t dressed to kill, I felt already I was armed to the teeth.

I was going with a VIP, a very important purpose. My purpose was to record the event, to feel myself and be the one to tell the world how it is to be surrounded by Charice´s embrace, which I knew went beyond Beyoncé´s Halo:

Everywhere I´m looking now / I´m surrounded by your embrace.

As it happened, I was for some time behind George Yang last night, Valentine´s Day, and you should have seen him sing a duet with Charice at the PICC. This is how it happened. I didn´t know George Yang from Adam but there I was, at SM Megamall in Makati, 2nd floor, waiting behind this man, wanting to buy my ticket to the concert. There was this guy who was talking to the girls and they were all ears (they were also all eye-full), and for the love of me, I didn´t understand what they were talking about. Then the man left me behind – either he had bought his ticket before I came in, or he just wanted to chat. No problem, because he was the only other one in my line.

I´d like to buy a concert ticket, I told the girl. Which concert, Sir? Charice. Which seat would you like to have? Nearest the stage. I´d like to have an F; I was thinking of my name. I have a B3, Sir. Oh, I also have an A24. I´ll take the A24. That will be 5808 pesos, Sir. I paid but, borrowing from Charice, I could feel the nervousness in my heart. I never bought a single little piece of paper that expensive before!

I took a taxi and went straight to the PICC. At Ayala Boulevard, when I looked at my watch (actually, my Nokia 5310), it said 1900 hours, 7 PM. But traffic was bad, and it took us 40 minutes to get to the PICC. The concert was going to start at 2000 hours, 8 PM. I like to be early, not late.

2000 hours. The concert hall was not half-empty; it was half-half-empty. 2236 hours, some clapping of hands. That´s 36 minutes late. 2044 hours, shouts, more and louder clapping of hands. 2246 hours, an overture by Ryan Cayabyab and orchestra, I mean, manned-made musical instruments, whatever they were, huge devices, the works. Colors and shapes whirling and swirling. We must be in a disco; I must be listening to disco music, because the volume is high, very high. Truth to tell, I never liked disco music; when I was a young man I vowed the first time I was invited that I will never again go near a disco house because, while I may like the music, and I love the girl I will go out with, I can´t stand the decibels of it all.

Now this. I am sitting on A24; Row A of course is the very first row next to the stage, and it´s only about 5 or 6 meters away from me; the loud (!) speakers are only 2 to 3 meters farther away. The noise blast hits me squarely all the time. I was beginning to like it.

Why Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab? Respect for a master of composition, musical arrangement and direction. In another event, Charice herself had introduced him, “The David Foster of the Philippines, Ryan Cayabyab!”

In the beginning, Ryan Cayabyab and the manned-made orchestra blasted away deliriously the overture. I was looking at the two champagne glasses by the side of the grand piano near the mike; the glasses were each half-full but, given Charice, I wouldn´t be surprised if the glasses would break. Last night, many times I think I heard 10 decibels or higher.

Why was a disco-deaf writer not bothered by the loud piano of Ryan Cayabyab? It was a prelude to a one-of-a-kind smashing evening. This was all good mood music. We were being prepared for one blast of an evening, courtesy of Charice. I knew that. What I didn´t know was that it would turn out to be also a welcome blast from the past.

Did I say the evening was smashing? It smashed half of the old Charice and brought out a new one, a modern Filipina, a Pinay who knew the world of today and sang of it with gusto, along with a Maria Clara of a Pinay who knew the world of yesterday and sang of it with not a gust of wind but a gush of youth & innocence & love. Bravo!

Erik Santos sang Maging Sino Ka Man (Whoever You Are). I´m not familiar with his music.

Charice sang The Prayer in a duet with someone I recognized as the man whom I was behind at SM – George Yang. I´m not familiar with him either, but that´s my man. What a voice!

With Erik Santos, Charice sang Come What May from Moulin Rouge. It´s the love theme from the 2001 romantic musical starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. I know Charice loves horror films; this one was a horrific musical.

Last night, Charice was blonde, straight hair – and she was shooting from the hip. She introduced him as “the legendary singer-composer Ogie Alcasid” and they sang Hanggang Ngayon, which is his own composition. I was surprised Ogie was shooting fireworks with Charice – and both shooters won.

Charice is going to sing for us songs from my era, Ryan Cayabyab said. He wasn´t looking at me. His hair was all white. That´s my era too. Look who´s talking!

Charice sang What The World Needs Now by Burt Bacharach, vintage 1965. Hopelessly Devoted To You by Olivia Newton-John, vintage 1978.

Erik Santos, Ogie Alcasid, Charice and George Yang did a quartet on Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan. It ended too soon.

The Ryan Cayabyab Singers did a medley of old hits: I´ll Never Fall In Love Again, I Say A Little Prayer For You, Sealed With A Kiss, not to forget Alfie.

A different Charice? Different songs, same Charice.

Oh, I´m sure I didn´t catch all the titles. When you reminisce the past that fast, you´re bound to be left behind.

Truth to tell, I was awed all evening. So I forgot to switch on my Nokia voice recorder when Charice sang the first note; I started at the 3rd song. Worse, I completely forgot that my Nokia had a video recorder! Why? Because when Charice sang, she embraced me, and because I wasn´t careful, I forgot something – and I couldn´t remember what it was.

Towards the very end of the concert, Ogie sang Basta´t Kailangan Kita and that was when I ran out of ink!

As a writer, when I run out of ink, I run into trouble. I can´t remember many things. But not to worry. I remember a lot. Like, I remember looking back at the crowd and estimating 3,500 max who watched and listened in the spirit of love.

We had just given Charice a final standing ovation when a charming lady in red approached me and asked if I were Frank Hilario. I couldn´t lie, could I? I should have told her, “I thought you´d never ask!” The lady turned out to be Marina T, and she told me I resembled the photo (sketch) in my profile in my blog, so she decided to be bold and ask if I was who I looked like. Did I ever!

Marina said, “Everybody´s talking about you.” I was like, thinking, it´s okay, as long as it´s not behind my back. She meant the Chasters, that they had been reading my blog, Pinoy Cinderella, which is totally dedicated to Charice. (I assure you there is no other blog like it, no other one-man blog totally Charice. “You were smitten,” David Foster said to Oprah about Charice. And so am I.)

And I said, “I have a surprise for Charice tonight, but I don´t know how I can meet her.” And Marina said, “Come with us.” She meant the “Meet & Greet” group after every Charice concert, including this one. I told her I wasn´t in the list. “It´s okay. Come with us.” And so I did.

Marina introduced me at the door of the Meet & Greet room, and Noellen surrounded me with her embrace. She must have been enjoying reading my blog, a fan if ever I had one. Thank you, Noellen. And Marina said, “I think everybody should get to know you.” And as we walked towards the front, she said to the group, “This is Frank Hilario.” And I heard pleasant noises. Music to my ears. Later, people were shaking my hand and telling me they read my blog and they thought I was a great writer. My feelings, exactly! Later, I thought, when I had the chance, I was going to kid Charice and say, from the way things looked that night of 14 February 2010 at the PICC, you began to have a rival for admiration from the Chasters! I can dream, can´t I?

Kidding aside, Charice is superlative, transcendent even. She´s in a league of her own, and she´s only 17, for God´s sake! And because of her, I will go on proclaiming to the world that I am Filipino.

The Meet & Greet group, at least 50, asked me if I could say a few words to encourage the Chasters. With the fervor I saw, I didn´t think they needed encouragement, but sometimes, I am a man of a few words, so I said:

Did you notice that my blog is passionate? Charice is passionate about her singing too. My talent lies in writing, and I am dedicating it to her. Because she does not only sing for herself; she sings for you, she sings for us.

At another point during the Meet & Greet, someone (was it Gunrunner?) was complaining he was 51, so I raised my hand after him, and I said:

I´m 69. (Pleasant noises, music to my ears!) I´m writing a book on Charice. In fact, I´ve finished 13 chapters. I´m planning 18 chapters. I have a surprise for Charice tonight.

And so we had pictures taken, 10 selected had each a photo op alone with Charice who sat behind an office desk looking like the princess that she was. She was Our Princess, wasn´t she? Then we all had group pictures with Charice, row by row. In 2 tries, I managed to give her a copy of “100 Charice. Mod parables of the talents of Ming,” which is Chapter 11 of my book (working title Pinoy Cinderella). In between the calling of rows for the photo ops, I saw her browsing. After all was said and done, when Charice disappeared from view towards midnight, I asked a girl if she could have my copy of that chapter autographed, and she did. The girl with 100 Charice told the one and only Charice that I was writing a book, so she signed it thus: “To Mr. Frank Hilario. Thank you po! Love you. (Heart) Charice.” Little girl, the big pleasure was mine.

What the world needs now, is love, sweet love! I believe in love, Alfie. Sealed with a kiss. I will love you till my dying days.

Yesterday, Valentine´s Day, was also Chinese New Year. During that Meet & Greet, somebody surprised me with a bagful of champoy; I´m sorry I got the name of the package correctly, Chan Pui Ying Che Preserved Plum (Seedless), but I forgot the name of the girl who gave it to me. I´m sorry I can´t mention everyone I met last night; without my beloved ball pen, I can´t remember names. But, you girl with the champoy, my wife told me she loves the champoy; she seldom gives compliments, so that´s part of your reward.

The Meet & Greet party parted after midnight. If the Chasters didn´t have a good night sleep from a night that was fantastic, terrific, marvelous, or, to use Charice´s favorite word, super, I´m sure they sat up talking until the wee hours of the morning. It had been a musical blast, an explosion of wind & win power. It was not merely force or horsepower; above all, it was voicepower. Horsepower has something to do with pulling a device with wheels; voicepower has something to do with pulling out all the stops. The power was coming from alternating current; from Charice, alternating output from high to low, yet the delivery is always total power, from beginning to last.

This was a Valentine´s Day concert that will last forever. A night of love. I´m glad I was one of the lovers.

Charice, last night, Valentine´s Day, to borrow from Beyoncé´s Halo, we were bombarded by your embrace. It was stupendous, wonderful. The more we love you more.

Charice, in Singapore last December, they told you, “Singapore loves you!” Please stay as sweet as you are. And don´t let anyone steal your heart away from us – yet. Charice, a Frankie-come-lately Chaster that I am, I am sure the Chasters will not stop until the world proclaims, preferably live in a whole episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show:

The world loves you!

Recap of the concert from Hertzblaster – thank you sir!

The best Concert that I had ever seen in my entire life!!!!!

Never in my life that I will make a very long story about me or something or someone else . But it is happening now. (Sorry for the grammatical error if ever you found one. I think its many.)

I’ve waited several months for this concert. In fact I am one of the first few people who bought tickets even though PICC have not yet sent the seating arrangement at the ticket outlet where I bought my ticket.

The concert tickets are twice as expensive for local singers. The ticket price is like as if Great American Singers is going to perform a concert here at PI. So if 6000 people is going to attend, and if the ticket is not that expensive, probably 12,000 Filipinos will watch her concert.

Here is my story. Its time! I can’t control my excitement. Thankfully my wife is very understanding even though she is not a Charice fan. But she will be soon.

7:20pm Arrived at the Cultural Center of The Philippines (CCP) Complex. I was very surprised that traffic was rather loose in the area. I was expecting a horrible traffic jam because Its Chinese new Year and there will be an International Fireworks Display Competition at Mall of Asia grounds (Second biggest shopping mall in the world!. I cant believe the Philipines holds that distincton.) which is a few kilometers away from CCP complex. There is also a concert by La Divas near the back of PICC. We ate dinner at “The Harbor” beside the CCP.

Charice advertised the show will start at 8pm. Well, we are in the Phils. I expect the show to start at 830pm

7:55pm- Time to go to PICC. It is about 1 km away. Now I am beginning to feel the traffic jam. But as I am nearing the PICC, I noticed very few cars parked in front of the bldg. Dec 2008 the last time I attended a concert here, I wasn’t able to park near the front of the bldg. I became concerned. Few people are going to watch the concert I said to myself..

8pm Entering the front door, now they have scanners just like what they have at the airport. Two Barong Clad Guards guard manning the post. Let the bag pass through the scanner then we just passed by the guards and we are in. “Is that it?” No more body search! Darn, I should have brought my Vintage video camera! What a frustration! Its a shoot as much as you please!

Spanning my eyes inside the lobby, I said WOW! This place is really Classy! But the number of people coming in is rather few in my estimate. I am again concerned.

We have to walk a few meters and exit to another door. upon exit, we saw the Charice Sennheiser Mic being sold and displayed at the long table at the sides as we walk to the entrance of another bldg where the Plennary Hall is located.

Showed our tickets and we are directed to a stair going to the balcony section. In the entrance. Lots of “Insulares” waiting for the show to start here.

At the second floor, you may thought that nothing is going on. Gave our tickets and we are in the Balcony after a few steps.

Upon seeing the balcony section view of the stage, I said WOW!!! I love this!!! I will really get my money’s worth, Its close to the stage and we are going to occupy the front row of the right side balcony section (There is no center balcony as the center is an enclose room for interpreters whenever there is international gatherings here). The best place to capture video is in this seat.

It was already 830pm and I went to the main lobby. Saw also my sister and her husband rushing inside. They are paying for a more expensive tickets. Well….

I noticed now that a lot of people are now coming inside. I went out of the bldg and saw what I am expecting to see a few minutes back. There was now a horrible traffic jam in front of the bldg. I walked further away from the bldg and saw that it’s now a nightmare driving or passing by the CCP complex. Well and good because Charice partly did it! (my bad!)

I got back to the plenary hall and RC is now playing. Just in time, after making ourselves comfortable, here comes Charice

Halo- As she walked though the stage, I tried to recall who was her look alike based on my first impression. Now I know, its “ ELVIRA, She’s Alive!!! Ho ho ho!!! But she was stunning. She looks very tall. And her entrance together with the music of RC band is a classic. Her voice, the first line of the song, instantly captured my imagination . I like the part that there was some silence then she starts clapping her hands up in the air. Wow!!! Then the audience follows though.

Then there was also part that she mimics the style of Pilita Corrales. A sharp body bend backwards. Bwa ha ha! I almost screamed! I want to shout “ Charice! Be careful, you might fall!!! Ha ha ha!!! My wife also was thrilled!

Her powerful voice filled up every nook of the hall. It was wonderful and its like you want to float in the air and feel how glorious the beginning of this event is.

My wife agree that Charice looks beautiful and elegant in that black outfit. Whenever I put my eyes in the big screen, Her projection in that big screen is really different from what I saw the last time at SMX. I was stunned by her looks!

Because you loved me- Saw her performed in HD video with Celine. Less excitement but her tone or musicality is really very pleasant to hear. There are more mature emotions in this performance.

Listen- This performance could have been one of the best for the night, But Charice I think move the mic away too far during the high impact note so there was sudden drop in volume in the part where you are suppose to hear the most difficult part to be the loudest one. (or maybe I was feeling very high already and don’t know what I am doing or where I was.)

Can’t smile without you– Unexpected but this is a very relaxing and happy moment for the audience. Audience waving their hands and singing together with Charice. I always believe that Barry Manilow , whose song also is as powerful as Charice could bring about the most powerful song ever with a duet with Charice. Charice voice is very cool here. It’s the first time we heard her sing this song,

Hopelessly devoted to you- Time for a little fun and to showcase RC’s singers. But unfortunately there are seven of them and can’t pinpoint who among the guys have potential because of small part for each of them. This is a good part where I came back to my senses.

George Yang The prayer duet with Charice- the crowd loves it. Who would ever think that a world class entrepreneur can sing like this one. If you love Ginobili, you will also like George Yang but keep your eyes close.

Ogie Alcacid and Eric Santos- I though they have the same same style. They are both great and powerful singers also. Ogie is the more seasoned singer though as he knows how to generate audience participation. He is also amazing But my wife clapped the loudest for Eric Santos. You know why?

Bubble dress of Charice- I already saw a big smile in Charice face when she entered the stage wearing this dress. I thought its several pieces of windows at my first glance. This is the funniest moment of the night especially when Eric Santos starts playing with it and Charice and the audience are laughing.

Kailan- This is the most enchanting song of the evening. No one saw it coming. Who would ever remember RC composition back in the 80’s at this point in time. The love song became popular then by Geneva Cruz as the lead singer of Smokey Mountain.

The song tells about the story of a girl’s sadness and frustration over a guy whom she loves so much and was not recognized or ignored no matter what kind of sweetness and attention she has shown to the guy. But the original song has an upbeat tempo, and for a love long, and with that kind of meaning, Charice nailed it with the right emotion and connected with audience. The moment she start the first note, I was surprised the audience immediately recognized the song. Her performance with that song can break a woman’s heart apart. A few teardrops from the men watching the show should not look embarrassing.

Her voice here is one the sweetest I ever heard of . Her angelic voice creeping slowly to the silence of some passage in the song is …….. …..

I can’t describe it. Simply its heaven!

If you heard her rendition of God bless America in NYC especially the first slow part, then it has similarities in the way she captured the sensitivities of the audience. Watch LOEL upload of this song at you tube. It has the best audio and video.

Teleserye Medley- May Bukas Pa (There is still tomorrow) – This is the best of the best for the night. I can’t remember how long it lasted but it was the longest and most wonderful performance I had ever heard of. The audience really felt how powerful and beautiful Charice voice is. The RC arrangement and the band should also be given big credit here. Charice voice was very beautiful and distinct and in great control from low to high, from very soft to very high passage. The song has a Charismatic meaning and very inspirational.

I really love the sound system here. The louder it get, the sound gets more fuller. I’m an audio-video hobbyist and I like good sound and high quality video

The song is arrange just like how DF is doing it . The intensity slowly building up and then continue to build up as if it is ready to explode anytime. I can feel the flashes of Charice voice power and I can feel it will have a grand ending. Then finally it’s a big bang at the end but this time around, the end has an extra bang!

The final blow to the last part of the song , the hall in total darkness with all the colorful spotlight on Charice, the band delivers an astonishing finishing kick in tandem to the very powerful and very high voice of Charice . It’s a heart pounding performance!!! This brought the house down at PICC. Whew! I Can’t breathe! Water please!

Then I was surprised that after the song Charice seems to have enjoyed her performance so much and was immediately sharing some big smile with the audience and RC as if everything is just a joke. What a girl!!!! But I can feel she is really in great shape this time around.

And I am telling you - If you saw the reaction of Paul O’grady in his show after Charice sang, “Its brilliant” Brilliant! brilliant!!!! Whew! Its a nerve shattering performance.

Somewhere over the rainbow - I’ve heard it before and she delivers it as expected. It was sweet and lovely. I really love it whenever she sings in a slow tempo where you can really feel the sweetness of her voice. But I noticed a little error in the timing of Charice after her solo in the first part, then came the instruments. She was late in coming in as you can see a little change of expression in her face and I saw a hand signal from RC to the band to keep on going. But it went unnoticed because the band played it as if it’s really how the timing is. Great job! I may be wrong but you can see it in the posted video of Charice small change in her facial expression minus the hand signal of RC to the band. I may be in the balcony section but I do believe everyone in the balcony section will agree that it’s surprisingly close enough to see what is going on on the stage.

RC medley with Eric,Ogie,George and Charice - it’s a rollercoaster ride where each of them performed RC’s popular tagalog songs. It’s enjoyable because you will see how versatile Charice guest is in this show singing side by side.

The other number was delivered as expected. I felt that I am now OK even if the show ended unexpectedly after the biggest moments. The succeeding number is just a bonus. Everybody got their time and money’s worth.

Here is my initial recount!!!!

1. The acoustics and sound system is the best. the louder it gets, the fuller the sound is.
2. George Yang of Mcdonald is a revelation. Amazing voice. Duets the prayer with Charice
3. Eric Santos- Wow its the first time I heard him sing live!
4. Ogie Alcasid- I didnt know that he has a powerful voice also. He is also amazing
5. Ryan Cayabyab and his band- He can give DF a run for his money. The arrangement was fantastic and he was able to make the best out of Charice voice
6. Charice- The prettiest and at her best appearance at her age now. She was so darn beautiful and pretty which my wife also noticed. She was in command of the show from start to finish. I have never seen her with this kind of magnificent performance in the stage singing relentlessly in longer duration and in full control of her voice.

Charice is at her best in this show unlike the last time where she was sick. The show went very smoothly without any delays or problem. There was never a dull moment in the show. Charice did not thank so many sponsors lengthfully unlike the last time.

Congratulation also to Ryan Cayabyab and his band for a wonderful performance. Charice is phased very well unlike her first concert. Charice was given enough time to prepare her number after each series of songs.

Another addition to the collection of magnificent performances by Charice!

BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!!!

(Lucky me, i’m just 20 mins away from the concert venue!)

The place was about 80% full in my estimate.

The balcony section at the right side was about 60% full only but its a small area only in my estimate can only accomodate 300people. The balcony section has very nice view, not too close and not too far.

Its worth the money for paying 900 pesos based on my experiences in different concert venues. I paid 3000 pesos at SMX the last time and feel bad after because of poor seat location.

the left side of the balcony looks 80% full.

I estimate about 50 seats empty at the most expensive area.

The furthest left side portion of the 3000-2000 pesos area has about 100 seats empty.

But all in all, its a very good attendance considering the ticket price is the most expensive for Filipino’s holding a local concert here in PI.

The people who had seconds thoughts and failed to watch the concert missed 50% of their lives!.

Charice on the plane!!!

An alert airplane passenger, a chaster obviously… waaaahhhh…. uploaded this YouTube video of Charice disembarking the plane at Indonesia, from the first class seats. You can hear the flight attendant saying “we missed our picture-taking… nevermind… congratulations.” I guess she didn’t bring her camera, too bad, LoL.

Well, the important thing is not that we have to know who the birthday party is for… Who cares, right? LoL …and perhaps we may never even get to see the video. BUT… I’m just happy knowing that Charice is performing in YET ANOTHER COUNTRY! How cool is that!!???!!!!!……..

We at Charicemania are so proud of you, Charice! And ecstatic over your success! A big CONGRATULATIONS to you indeed!

Talk show hosts Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres have featured Charice on their programs, but as of yet, she has no major breakout hit or record release, although she has been recording tracks for her debut. The songs include “I Will Always Love You” and her first international single “Note to God.”

Charice recently was invited to perform in a singing-only version of an America’s Got Talent-type contest and took Italy by storm! She was promptly hailed as an international superstar and was even invited to sing a duet of “The Prayer” with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

But the real excitement came when she was teamed up with another teen sensation, 13-year-old Cristian Imparato. Now I’m too old in the tooth to really understand all of this, but I was moved, so much so that you have to watch these two remarkable and extraordinary kids appearing on Io Canto (I Sing). The program was broadcast on Italy’s national RAI TV network.

At their young ages, they both showed that they’ve got what it takes for stardom and that their names will become recognized worldwide in the years to come. A friend of mine from Tuscany who knew that I’d met Charice many times here in Las Vegas emailed me, “She simply took Italy by storm. The audiences were chanting for her, and she’s captured the hearts of the entire nation.”
