Hmmm…this article has been posted 27 May and end June is nearing. Don’t tell me no relevant news about Charice is forthcoming?

No Oprah or DF news? No USA news? What is happening here? Has Charice finally become irrelevent all of a sudden?

Anyone knows what’s happening to her career? Suddenly she is now just a local Philippine talent and no more international gigs for her…….This could not have happened all of a sudden, there must be a reason.

Fanatics no snarling amd barking especially biting. Just asking……

I thought this could be an interesting item. On talk radio last night, celebrity numerologist Glynis McCants talked about a strange coincidence regarding Adele and her Grammy win and Whitney Houston on her death on Grammy night.

McCants explained that Adele and Whitney are ruled by the number9 which in numerology is the most powerful. She said, based on Adeles birth date May 5, 1988 when added together 5+5+1+9+8+8=36…Add: 3+6 to a single digit is 9.
Whitneys birth date August 9, 1963 when added together 8+9+1+9+6+3=36…Add: 3+6 to a single digit is 9.
She said the day Whitney died on Grammy night was Feb. 11, 2012 when added together 2+1+1+2+1+2=9. The numerologist said that the passing of Whitney and the Grammy win for Adele happening on the same day was strangely significant, it was like signalling the passing of a great one to the rising of the new one both ruled by the same numerological number9.

Here’s the interesting one. I further researched and found out that the numerological number of Charice is also the number 9 based on her birth date May 10, 1992 when added together 5+1+1+9+9+2=27…Add: 2+7 to a single digit is 9. Strange? Number 9 in numerology describes a person having universal conciousness, good understanding of mankind and sees no difference between a neighbor and a person of another culture, tolerance, generosity and forgiveness.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Charice earns a Grammy in the not so distant future.

This also explains why so many people are drawn to her and not just bcoz of her voice but of her personality.

Thanks Surg, this is very interesting indeed.

You said the right words my friend…people are drawn to her.
Even the great Oprah and David Foster were drawn to her, why? How? We don’t know? Some forces of nature maybe?

People should think that Oprah and David Foster are business people in entertainment and have no time to waste their resources on somebody who barely spoke the English language. We are all witnesses to Charice history the past 4 years and her story is just unfolding. You can make your own conclusions? Others can make theirs? I think I agree with you that a Grammy is in her future?

Watched The Voice, American Idol and while I followed and enjoyed Cheesa, and Jessica as well as Thia in the past, once the shows were over I kind of lost interest and really only look forward to seeing what Charice is doing. She has captivated me and I can’t wait to see what her next chapter is.

On this Father’s Day, can’t help but think the death of her dad had a profound effect on her and maybe is some way changed her perspective on life. But I still see the smile and warmth, and the way she supports other singers tells me has not changed her core values which to me is the most important thing.

    Love you Charice.

She captured the hearts of Oprah, Celine and evryone from her story with her father but the story seems to be wrong based on her reactions during and after death of her father…nobody knows how it turned that way, her father became an angel…anyone here knows the answer?

When Charice first met Oprah she still felt resentment towards her father for abusing her mother and causing herself and her mom and brother to fend for themselves. Then she met David Foster who became her second father and godfather. By now Mommy Raquel had forgiven her husband and perhaps David Foster acting as Charice’s surrogate father got Charice thinking what it would be like to be with her real father. She began asking other young people what it was like to have a father. Charice and her mother attempted to contact Ricky Pempengco to tell him that he was forgiven but his siblings prevented any meeting. As a result Charice did not see her father until his wake. Charice being the person she is, chose to remember what it was like when her father was not on drugs. Her collapse at her father’s funeral was heartbreaking and even now her father’s death has sombered her image.

    Hey Chasters,

Here is an interesting story that you might learn from it i know I did, don’t start reading this one until you’ve got more than a minute to just ‘scan’ over it. It deserves some time for reflection.

    “GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED”

I envy Kevin. My brother, Kevin, thinks God lives under his bed. At least that’s what I heard him say one night.

He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, are you there, God? He said. Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed…

I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin’s unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.

He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he’s 6-foot-2), there are few ways in which he is an adult.

He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.

I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life?

Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni-and-cheese for dinner, and later to bed.

The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child.

    He does not seem dissatisfied.

He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work.

He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day’s laundry chores.

And Saturdays – oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That’s the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. That one’s goin’ to Chi-car-go! Kevin shouts as he claps his hands.

His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights. And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips.

He doesn’t know what it means to be discontent. His life is simple.

He will never know the entanglements of wealth or power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.

His hands are diligent. Kevin is never more happy than when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it.

He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. When his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax.

He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure.

He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue.

Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God.

Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God – to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an ‘educated’ person to grasp. God is his closest companion.

In my moments of doubt and frustrations with Christianity, I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith.

It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions.

It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap. I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances – they all become disabilities when I do not trust them to God’s care.

Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God.

And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I’ll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.

Kevin won’t be surprised at all!

Your comment is a reflection of your sad experiences as a person. The harsh realities of life sometimes are too overwhelming to overcome but people have a choice about being positive or negative in life. Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld called six time Grammy winner Adele “a very fat woman” but Adeles fans embraced her for what she is. You have your reasons for wanting Charice to fail, I hope you and your kind find happiness in it.

Didn’t make it in Hollywood? For 5 years she was the only constant guest performer of David Foster and Friends concerts. Tons of TV appearances not to mention two movies and 3 guest appearances on Glee. Two record albums under Warner Bros. with one that made her the first Asian to crack the Billboard Top 10 and made it as high as #4, not mention #1 on the dance music chart. Is that what you call a flop? Lol!

It has been a while since I have visited CM because, frankly, there is not much news here lately except the endless bickering about Charice’s personal choices – her manner of dressing, hairstyle, etc., etc. The recent discussions, IMO, are redundantly tiresome that do nothing but harmfully alienates many of the truly dedicated Chasters. That being said, may I suggest to visit “Chastermania” on FB where there are more tidbits of information about Charice in the Philippines. Right now, Charice seems to be happy with her role as a judge in the Philippine X Factor. Cheesa and Troy Laureta are currently in the Philippines. A collaboration between Charice and Cheesa seems to be in the making. Whatever are Charice’s plans with respect to her US career are all up to her – nobody else. All we can do is wait. This all I can say for now. Peace to everyone.

For those of you who are interested why Charice dress the way she does, just go on to msn.com home page and you’ll see what the Hollywood celebs are wearing now a days. High tops sneakers and jeans, even Beyonce wears them.

Like I said before, if you’re an old fart then Charice’s transformation wouldn’t be your cup of tea but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing for Charice.

It’s time for her to dress her age and not like a 30 year old.

Couple of reasons why these Hollywood celebs dress down that I could think of:

      1) because they’re much more comfortable wearing them
      2) because they want to look like regular people

Now that isn’t so hard to understand right?

And I don’t think Charice feels like she’s a diva that wearing outrageous clothes is a must.

      Just my opinion.

But seriously, you’re right. I do hope more of us old geezers are wise enough to understand what she’s trying to do.

David Foster stated before that Charice has to find her own music, where she feels more comfortable. So this genre she has chosen fits her age perfectly and her new style as well.

I’m sure if not for the malicious rumors that the Pinoy crabs have started, some people wouldn’t even think that there’s anything wrong with her new image.

And I say this bcoz, every time she’s back home a new rumor starts to circulate.

Chasters, other fans, and potential fans of Charice are in dire need of sustenance from Charice. They are hungry. There is famine in the land. They are not about to eat of the fast food churned out by the music industry. They are connoisseur of fine dining. To date, in North America Charice has only released one CD, the second CD is forthcoming in October 2012 I hear; even though it was released in Asia awhile ago. They are languishing while fasting for the much awaited release of various products from team Charice. Why, why, why do they have to suffer so much. Are they hearing a distant fanfare perhaps? It is like Charice is in mourning. When will the new morning come, gloriously with the bright Sunshine and warmth of her rays (er I mean songs).
