So we know that Charice has been quiet lately after her successful Infinity Tour in asia. But we are glad to share this video with you which was filmed during the photoshooting for Sterling products, January 16th this year when she visited Manila, according to her Ninang Michelle from Sterling.
We definitely miss her long black hair but we also like her short blonde look during the asian tour. It’s exciting to see what’s up next with Charice’s look.
Sterling notebooks, definitely high quality, definitely trendsetting! – Charice
After the Sterling pictorial, Charice did the Afficionado shoot and stayed at the studio from 7:00 am to to 6:00 pm. Hardworking girl!
Sterling notebooks are available at all bookstores and major department stores nationwide but at the moment, there are no notebooks with Charice’s picture on it. We’ll surely announce it here as soon as they are on sale.

charice looks gorgeous here and she looks also great and fresh in her valentine concert!
young and international person she is.
Charice is a photographer’s dream subject. She is a natural beauty. You can steal a shot and the picture always comes out right.
Charice is a rare kind of beauty, a versatile kind of beauty. you said it so right, “you can steal a shot of her and the picture always comes out right”. i freeze-frame her videos and it’s mesmerizing. i really can’t explain

@FlorOfTexas,
I totally agree with you; there’s nothing wrong/harmful with changing, evolving, improving and experimenting. That’s part of life, to build a tower, climb a mountain, or follow a highway, because they can be done and they are there. Besides, who wants to be stale and boring?
To be fair, they didn’t see anything broken with her old image. In their view, there was no need to fix a look that already was okay.

@ huh,
People, especially young teenagers, try different colors of hair and clothes just for the experience; it’s one way to refine their fashion awareness later in life. There was a season I lived as blonde, for variety, and bought a lot of clothes in the color/palettes of spring and autumn.

@TTL,
After reading your comment I watched for the first time Charice rendition of Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson; I’m so happy to see this, because I’ve always compared the two of them, the similarity of energy and showmanship when performing onstage. I was probably one of the first to suggest Charice should watch Kelly’s career and be a rock star. I just think Charice has got it in her, probably because of her intense personal history with her mom and her dad, that could find better expression in rock genre. Either that or country, but I prefer rock.

It just made me so mad that I had to drill the blogger a new one. The fact of the matter is that all these filipino bloggers/media, they are working together to create something from nothing.
I’m a proud filipino but if some of my fellow pinoys can’t stop acting like dush bags, I think I have to change my username to “Ashamed To Be Pinoy”.

I can sense that some(straight?) people are homophobic, while some(gays?) are in desperate need to claim celebrities as heroes to be on their side; I think any of these reasons for asking the questions about sexuality are rude. It’s shameful, that other people can’t be just happy when one person(their own kind) becomes successful. In their jealousy they have to dig out or make up some dirt just to put the successful person down; it is so backward of them.
Your analogy is hilarious,, luv it !

Charice, Troy, Cheesa and Cortney and the band are like a family. All of these people, watch over Charice, don’t you get that.
And who cares if Cheesa copies Charice, a lot of young girls want to be like Charice. Aren’t you happy for that, Charice is such a big influence on all these people’s lives. How did your mind got so twisted like this?

and for Charice — To work as hard as anyone else, to entertain with her GOD given talent…and bring in the dough (money) at the end of the day to feed, shelter, & to take care of her family…
the entertainment world is about getting attention…the more you get it… the more money comes in your way…
Now that Charice got your attention by the way she dresses (praise and criticize) –> who you think won? — Charice of course… did you get a single cent by saying “she looks %#$&!!!”?
peace!
got my poing?

I’ll just wait and give her enough time to realize if she did right. Who are we to judge in just a short time. OK she may have lost a few hundreds conservative fans – But what if she gained few thousands of modern more liberal fans? Who can verify this at this time?
I’ll still wait. That’s the best thing I can do for her. Instead of conclusively declaring outright that she’s going the wrong path.

Charice cut her hair and did a tattoo to please herself. Women change their appearance all the time. She is still the same person minus the long hair with all of the attributes that you listed. I don’t know if you are married but if your wife changed how she did her hair, would you stop loving her?

@IcanRelatetoyou Wow this is the first long comment I’ve ever read. Anyway, I also used to be that fan who would always check YT because of Charice. Now, not anymore. I still like Charice, the only thing I stopped from watching her on YT, is the realization of the fact that the old Charice with long beautiful black hair, doesn’t exist anymore, and I’m afraid that I will miss her… So much, that each night I will wonder why she had to cut her short and put a tattoo just to tell everybody that this is the real Charice. So the old Charice was not real? at all? whatever it is, I still miss the “not real” Charice (long black hair with simple but elegant style of outfits). As the “now Charice” (edgy look with tattoo) would say it, “the only thing you can do, is to move on”. So sad that opinion of fans wouldn’t matter, even a bit, because of being edgy is just being true to yourself. Is that it Charice? Oh well, I still love your voice, though.
Some people create their own reality and unrealistically insist on it, which is almost like a perversion. Sad to say, there are people who don’t like kids to grow up; there were rumors I heard that people in charge of young stars(like Michael Jackson, a goldmine at a young age) didn’t like them to grow up, and didn’t want their voices to change from the stages of adolescence and adulthood. Hollywood with their old studio factory are full of such stories of trying to control or reinvent stars in their looks and behavior, and sometimes their bio to the way they think the public would buy. Worst of all was putting Asians in the box, and Asian characters used to be portrayed as stereotypes. That is not how it’s done nowadays; things have changed finally, although very very slowly, but I’m sure there are still a lot of folks out there who want Charice to look like Asian characters Madame Butterfly or Susie Wong, or an fob kid with long hair. There was a story about some people people only wanting Judy Garland to be Dorothy and just sing Over The Rainbow at some of her concerts.
I guess some people just have the unusual fetish/fascination for long hair, perhaps believing the story of Samson, who lost his extraordinary strength when his hair was chopped, and only regained his power when his hair grew back. Also perhaps the world cherishes the image of stereotypical Asian woman with long black hair. Younger people are probably more open to change/experiments in look, I hope.

Other than her pure voice and ability to deliver the high notes, charice does emote properly and has great connection with the audience, which is what makes her really tick. She is a perfect vehicle/messenger for songwriters, and that’s what sets her apart from any IA contestants that are being compared to her by some crabs.
