Many Chasters have already pre-ordered their “Infinity” copies since August, and after more than a month of waiting, we can now all listen to Charice’s amazing new songs.
“Infinity” is currently number two in Amazon Japan’s RnB top seller chart, and it has been in the Amazon Japan overall Top 100 for 4 days now. In iTunes Japan, Infinity is #1 in the Pop category. But this doesn’t even reflect the real performance of Charice’s new album in Japan, as many other sites and record stores are selling it, so we’ll just have to wait and see a little bit longer if “Infinity” will hit gold or platinum sales.
There’s a great chance that “Infinity” will top the performance of Charice’s hit debut album, as the promotion for the sophomore album is bigger and better.
There are various interviews with a lot of Japanese shows and networks; there’s a tie-in with Acuvue that includes a dance contest and concert; the TV drama Bull Doctor reaches a large audience; and there’s also the upcoming David Foster and Friends Asia Tour with it’s first two stops in Tokyo.
Charice’s endorsement deal with Acuvue paved the way for a free album release concert in Tokyo today, October 5, held at the famous Shinjuku Station ALTA exit. Fans actually lined up and waited hours before the start of the concert. I was actually there and the energy of Japan Chasters was so amazing, it wasn’t dampened one bit by the rain and cold.
The organizers eventually handed out free raincoats so that umbrellas wouldn’t block the livestream camera, plus, they also gave out some packets that included flyers about DFF, Acuvue, Warner Japan and a free pen. Overall, the album launch concert was a success, even with the bad weather. You can watch Charice’s whole performance in the video below:
The album release concert was streamed live on the internet so that every single Chaster will have the chance to watch it. Charice sang 5 songs: first was “Louder”, then “One Day”, “New World”, “Far As the Sky”, and “Before It Explodes”. The winners of the Acuvue “One Day” dance audition/contest backed-up Charice during her high energy performance of “One Day”.
In the following days, we could expect more promotion from Charice for “Infinity”, such as the “One Day” Japanese version music video. So does Japan’s “Infinity” make you want to have Charice’s U.S./Global “Infinity” earlier than 2012? Or did it make the wait much more bearable now?

Would my action makes a difference? I don’t know. All I know is that here’s this girl Charice, so pure in spirit who only have one intention – to please us with her God given talent. I bet anyone who is genuinely appreciative of her (regardless of) shares this same feeling that when she delivers a song, my gosh!!!! she gives it all – heart and soul (phenomenal!!!), and then your life is never the same – the reason I am compelled to defend her.

The best thing we all can do is post positive comments about Charice. and ignore the rest who envy and gossip and criticize.

I totally agree – IGNORE mode is the BEST APPROACH. And I am a practitioner of this approach.
Notice that when I go to the comments section I can not keep myself from opening the comment with the most dislike rating. I thought that others might be the same. Charice and her management team will figure out what path she should take pertaining to her music and appearance and no matter what they choose, they can’t please everyone. So, I’ll just continue to watch her grow as she has since coming on to the scene, sit back enjoy the ride, and support her in whatever way I can personally. I can only do what I can do and everyone else has their own way of doing things. To each his own, but I will remain as positive as I can. For me her voice and her kindness are the things that makes me the happiest and I hope those traits are the biggest factors to take her to the top. To others, clothes and other characteristics may be of equal importance, than they are to me and that’s their right and their opinion. Just can’t tell you how much happiness Charice has brought me in the past 3 plua years.

i suspect there may have been time constraints too since there was hardly any time for charice to introduce her songs esp. the last 2 since the band started playing. they were in front of shinjuku station and it was rush hour (shinjuku is the busiest station in tokyo with 4 million passengers using it daily) and the organizers had to keep people moving, they couldn’t let people stop and listen or people wouldn’t be able to get into the station so there was no time for spiels etc.
remember too, that only troy from her band was with her so the songs may have sounded different than to what we are used to. but i still think the japanese band members did well.
and a free live guerilla-style concert does not have to be “art”. and more choreography? she had a stage the size of a postage stamp, the acuvue dancers hardly had any space to move.
let’s just be grateful that there even was a free concert, and it was very well done at that.

Thanks for explaining . I don’t know the people Charice has been working with and I know nothing about their qualifications. My comment was like an immediate reaction to these people’s end product by a consumer and as, believe it or not, a well meaning fan. Knowing that many chasters desliked my comment, I feel that I should refrain from saying anything; get off the train as one says, which I can actually do easily, and I suppose that would make most chasters happy.
