dates Charice with David Foster and Friends Will Go on an Asian Tour this Oct. & Nov. 2011

The David Foster and Friends Summer Concert in Napa Valley just happened last July 16. You may or may not have attended that certain event, but for sure, you want to hear more of Charice’s live-singing, right?

We previously reported that Charice will be singing in two DFF concerts in Las Vegas this 2011 – one on October 1 for the third Hitman Concert in Mandalay Bay, and the second one on November 25 for the Thanksgiving Concert of David Foster and Friends, also in Mandalay Bay.

This was great news for Chasters near and in America, but we all know that Charice has fans all over the world, so how will they be able to hear Charice sing live when they’re so far away from Las Vegas?

news 300x132 Charice with David Foster and Friends Will Go on an Asian Tour this Oct. & Nov. 2011For Chasters in Asia, you’re getting even greater news as the hit David Foster and Friends Asian Tour will be returning this October after a successful run last year. As early as February 2011, it was announced by IMG Artist Pacific that the DFF Tour will be coming back to entertain their fans living in Asia. Same as last year, the stops will be at six key countries: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

For those interested in watching the DFF concert in Japan, head on to the official website, dff-japantour.com. Two shows are scheduled for Japan, one on October 19, and another one on October 20. Hurry and get your tickets because last year, shows were sold out within two days of ticket release.

In Indonesia, the DFF concert is on October 28, 2011 at the Plenary Hall JCC. It is said that this year, the concert in Indonesia will be bigger than last year. The former venue was in the Ritz Carlton Pacific Place so seats ran out while so many people still wanted to buy tickets. Now, the Plenary Hall will be big enough to accommodate more people, plus, they’re charging much lower prices for the tickets compared last year.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Oct. 22 at the Putra Indoor Stadium

Manila, Philippines: Oct. 25 at the Araneta Colisseum

Bangkok, Thailand: Oct. 31 at the Impact Arena

I absolutely love the songs Charice does that were either produced and/or written by David Foster. But, I do agree that they should consider doing some of his other songs on this tour. How about “Forever”, “Somewhere”, “You Raise Me Up”, and “Power of the Dream” for starters. He also had Josh Grobin do “Bridge Over Troubled Water” at his first “Hitman” show. Can you imagine Charice doing BOTW? I get chills just thinking about it. Throw in “All By Myself” (because I will NEVER, EVER get tired of this one), and you have a fresh, new array of songs for Charice to amaze and mystify her audience with. She is the greatest singer in the world. Doing these songs would simply hammer that fact into the heads and hearts of all who hear them.

How about something for us oldies, like kundiman songs? I will die early if Cha will sing “Dahil Sa Iyo”…and it’s okay if I end it this way. I just can’t imagine her delivering her sweet, soothing, emotion-filled voice delivering the “DSI” (Dahil Sa Iyo) in her own terms, possibly with DF’s genius. OMG, that would do it for me…goodbye earth !!!

Dahil sa Iyo or Hanggang to be more contemporary or an OPM like Sino ang Baliw. The latter however might touch the sensibilities of some so I guess it is out but nonetheless i want her interpretation of this OPM with new arrangement may be by DFF himself. Maybe I am dreaming the impossible dream.

I don’t care if it is DFF or Charice solo concert. If it is Charice, I’ll go. I attended her solo concert at the PICC and I also went to DFF at Araneta and I don’t mind if she will sing the same song over and over again. I just love supporting her by also buying all her albums. I’m happy to support her career with my small effort and I’ll be happier if I see that she succeeds in her endeavor.

Why no Hongkong concert???? Loads and loads of Pinoys here and Charice is equally big in this country. DF&F is going back to the previous venues but not new ones?

Middle east, China, Hongkong……..kindly come please.

The China market is so huge with lots of noveau rich waiting to mingle with the right crowd in such an event. Likewise, Charice owes it to the expat Pinoy workers/fans to come and make them enjoy her presence.

    Team Charice, kindly cionsider please.

    To the doubters:

With 16 Million dollars networth (according to a celebrity networth magazine report), under her belt – Charice has already reached a milestone beyond her wildest dream. And some people here are still not convinced of her tremendous success?? And to think that she is just barely 19 to achieve this fame and fortune is scary. Just wait and see- by the time she is twenty- cuz that is the target age when Warner Music Group will go all out to promote their artists. That’s what’s going to be expected in the future. David Foster has always said that before. They want her to stay longer in the music world because she has the talent to go far and BIG!!!Right now her chart is still on dead-center, treading slowly but surely on that yellow brick road to superstardom!!!!

Superstar because we can’t seem to understand why they don’t see what we see. I think we hurt her more and expose vulnerabilities when we say, for example, that her videos should have over 1 million hits by now or that all she needs is that number 1 hit or she should be winning Grammies by now. I personally don’t see Charice in a Beyonce or a Rhianna or a Selena or gaga-type fame. Charice will never be a teen idol because she is better than hype. No disrespect to the artists I’ve mentioned but I see Charice’s fame as slow and steady and respected and she will go down in music history as one of the greatest singers of all time. I respect her foray in different genres and I will enjoy and buy it all but her voice was meant for soaring. I became sure positive of this after 3 hours of feeding my YT chaddiction. After 4 years I am syllable awed by Run to You and Listen. I’ve compared her singing with Regine’s and other artists to understand what it is that draws us to her. I think I got it. She gets me with the first note whereas with other singers I am just waiting to feel something. She truly is magical. I cannot see her singing “it’s Friday” even though she’d own that too if she covered it. I just see her in a mor Adele-like, Nora jones, Josh stone type of singer/ fame. No wild heights but totally respected and undeniable talent. At the same time I see her as the undeniable diva princess alongside the diva matrons Celine, Whitney, Mariah and Barbara.

Sorry for the long note. I get sad when I read so many posts of people wanting her to be more than what she is and more than where she’s at not realizing and appreciating she’s already there.

Showbiz is business meaning “PROFITS”. Marketing plans and strategies of Charice’s team, I believe are well planned and a timetable stretched out considering the unique situation of Charice.

She is the first Asian close enough to penetrate the US mainstream and directly competing with such big stars as Gaga, Beyonce, Bieber, etc.at this point in time is premature.

While patiently working on her album and hoping a couple of songs will hit the charts, I think her management, meantime are focused on her popularity in Asia and at the same time test her concert performance there in 2012 singing her 2nd album hits before her big “BANG” or maybe the boom in the US

2012 will be the real test for Charice with her movie, music videos, radio and tv guest appearances will happen simultaneously leading to a US or probably a world tour.

Well, maybe Chasters, I must be dreaming or just expressing an opinion. TO THE TOP BABY.

Edy, I’m with you…you kind of capsulized it in a realistic way, in other words, I could see how her team is being careful. However, consider this, I’m sure Cha will fill a venue like the Verizon Center in downtown DC here, or the George Mason University auditorium in Fairfax, Virginia, without any sweat. And even more, down in Virginia Beach, there’s zillions of Filipino fans there waiting impatiently. In the long run though, she needs another song or two that are stand out songs like the Pyramid and singularly hers. One that, when it hits the airwaves, identifies her as the owner of the song. Cha, we’re all behind you, if you’re listening.
