In an interview with HollywoodLife.com last June 14, Charice talked about the reasons why the “Louder” music video is not yet being made. Aside from prioritizing the “One Day” music video, she also mentioned something about going to Singapore. Charice didn’t elaborate about her Singapore trip, and there are no recent tweets about it on her Twitter account. But further searching on the web will lead you to various tidbits of info on this mysterious event – it turns out that Charice will be doing a show in Singapore.
The reason why there’s not much publicity for this show is that it’s a private event. Charice will perform on June 24, 2011 somewhere in Clark Quay – Singapore’s main entertainment district. She’ll be accompanied by her own band consisting of Chris Wrate, LaRoi Larkin, Troy Laureta and Lance Tolbert.
Despite Charice’s silence on Twitter about this event, her band has been continuously giving updates – and Chasters are most thankful for being kept updated about Charice’s preparation. The photo on the left was actually taken during one rehearsal, as Chris Wrate tweeted, “Off to rehearsal w/ the Charice band. Dope arrangements, tight groove, epic rock. Singapore’s gonna be slammin!”
Charice and her band took off for Singapore on June 22, and when they arrived at Singapore’s Changi Airport, they were greeted by Chasters who patiently waited for their idol to arrive. Capofret captured on video their little adventure. See here the playlist for her 3 videos:

It was really sweet of Charice to entertain her fans despite being tired from a 14 hour flight from Los Angeles to Singapore. It’s really nice to see how friendly Charice is despite her huge fame. News Asia for Charice sightings as she was also interviewed by Marion Caunter. @enewsasia even tweeted that they’re accepting questions for Charice: “So what are you waiting for? Tweet us your questions for @OfficialCharice and you might just get them answered!”
Marion Caunter posted a photo of herself with Charice. Marion also tweeted that she had lots of fun chatting with her: “With Charice. The cutest thing. Crazy talkin to her bout hanging out w Oprah, Celine, Andrea Bocelli etc. ♥”
Charice definitely made a splash in Singapore this week; surely even more press coverage will be done after she amazes the audience at the private concert. Hopefully some of the lucky ones who got to watch will post videos on YouTube, let’s all wish really hard that someone does do that.

Charice is not a product and I do not look at her as such. She is a warm, wonderful, supremely talented human being that deserves full love and support from her fans. While I know you did not mean it in a bad way, the term “product” does not sit well with me. It just sounds dehumanizing.

It led me to search for any videos I could find on this phenom. She has worn different attire in these videos from pj‘s to pants outfits to dresses. It didn’t matter then and it doesn’t matter now. Whatever Charice wears is her choice and is none of my business. When I have attended the concerts she was a part of, I had no idea what she was wearing and it didn’t concern me especially when she started to sing.
So for me it’s about the singing and that smile I need to see. If negative comments cause her discomfort and hurt, especially from “fans” who have no say in what she decides to do, then it becomes a problem. If it effects her to the point she has to close down her face book account then it is taking a toll whether or not people think she is too sensitive.
Just back off and enjoy the ride. Her game plan is in her and her handlers hands. They’ll make the necessary adjustments along the way. Do you really think she is going to listen to a few fans? I think she at 19 can make her own decisions without our interference. Life is a learning process and as you grow you learn. Let her live and figure it out her own way. My fear, is that she will decide to “shut it down” if she gets fed up with all the nonsense.
I have been in her presence – last time 6/14 in NYC and she wore a dress for a meet and greet segment and changed to more casual look later on and it just didn’t matter. She was having fun and that’s what the important thing was. Give her love and acceptance and let’s help her attain her goals.

It’s actually happening faster considering her humble beginnings. Chasters, I know sometimes we get too impatient and concerned. But have faith in Charice. Most of all, prove our unconditional support with the same courage and grace under pressure as Charice has shown!
