Charice Reveals “Louder” Music Video is in the Works – Plus Details on Her New Album

With four singles already released, Charice’s sophomore album is generating a lot of buzz and excitement from her fans. But there’s something that could still heighten that anticipation plus make non-Chasters more interested – and that is a music video.

Music videos, especially viral ones, have helped make a lot of songs and albums more popular. Take Rebecca Black’s “Friday” for example. Without it’s video going viral, the song itself might not have sold a lot of copies and rose through the charts so much. A better example and comparison to “Louder” would be Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”. It’s already a good song, but the music video made it into a phenomenon – it generated copycats, it invaded pop culture, it was shared and re-shared on social networking sites, and it got people’s interest, even non-Beyonce fans.

Last year’s “Pyramid”, which was the only song with a music video in Charice’s debut album, was wildly successful as well and even reached no. 1 on the Billboard dance chart. Since it’s already a great song, the music video can’t take credit for everything, but it certainly helps to bring more attention to Charice.

Hopefully this time, Charice will make two or more music videos for her second album. “One Day” will definitely have a music video since a contest was even put up to give fans a chance to appear in it. But this is sponsored by Acuvue and it’s still not clear if this will be a part of her album promotion. Yeah it’s wishful thinking, but another video for a yet unreleased single will be great, even if it’s just a simple one ala “Reset”. It looks like “Louder” will be this album’s “Pyramid”, so you’ll be glad to know that just a couple of days ago, Charice revealed in her Teen.com interview that “Louder” will be getting a music video.

Charice has released a few singles already and Teen.com asks her to talk about those: “I released “Louder” and “Lost The Best Thing. We’re gonna do the music video for “Louder” because I really love to dance and the song is really an inspirational song.” Chasters have long known that dancing is one of Charice’s favorite things to do, and now, she’s given the chance to show all over the world another one of her many talents.

Charice also talked about the meaning of the song for her: “I can totally dedicate that to all the haters out there. You know, like, I don’t need you. I don’t need no shoulder, you know? I’m gonna be a soldier. No one can bring me down. I’m just gonna do this and be brave. That’s why it’s called “Louder” because you being brave is so much louder than you being weak. It’s such an amazing song, such an inspirational song.”

Read the whole interview here, and see what Charice has to say about her being compared to Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. This is the second part of Charice’s latest interview with Teen.com. The first part is about her appearance on the season 2 finale of Glee and her possible return in Season 3. Read the complete part 1 here.

“Louder” getting a music video isn’t the only exciting tidbit that Charice revealed in the interview. She also dropped a hint about the release date of her much awaited album: “it’s gonna come out maybe around October or something like that.” This isn’t official yet and could possibly be pushed back if her team is looking hard for the best songs they could include in the album. Plus, some other articles and press releases have stated that the album will be released in early 2012, so for now, don’t get your hopes up too much for a 2011 release. But do pray that this happens, as a new Charice album will be the perfect Christmas gift for everyone.

Charice also confirms that the search for the perfect album title is still on, “We’re still thinking about it. I’m still working on some more songs right now to put on the album and still gonna work on the music video, but once we finish all that, we’re gonna think about the title and the release date.” Lots of things about her album may be unknown yet, but one thing’s for sure, Charice is giving all she’s got on getting this album done. She’s already collaborated with some amazing people like Nick Jonas and Bruno Mars and teases, “I can’t wait for my fans to see the back of the album. For sure, they’d be like, ‘Whoa, really? She worked with them?’ ”

Charice also let all her fans know on Twitter yesterday that she was at a photoshoot. Perhaps she’s shooting the cover for her next album. Or since it’s still a little too early till the album’s release date, maybe it’s a publicity shot for her next endorsement? Or a poster for her appearance at the next David Foster & Friends concert? We’ll be excited to find out what’s next!

Check out Charice at yesterday’s photoshoot, posted via twitpic.

For past days I had been surfing on Vegas’s pop music station yet no Charice. So I emailed DJsupahjames.com and requested to play Charice. After some minutes, I was surprised but ecstatically happy to hear “Louder”. So I kept my 104.3 station on the rest of the afternoon until sleeping time which is 12:00 midnight and no more Charice. So tomorrow I will do the same until they get the idea that there are Charice fans there wanting to hear her music no matter what it takes. If you are avid fan as you say you are do the same until the whole America awakens to the fact that Charice exist and that they should hear her on the airwaves. I am doing the same thing in other pop music radio station. Wish me luck. Love you Charice.

    RUN THROUGH THE RAIN

A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6
years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was
pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so
much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all
stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.

We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their
hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and
sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of
running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve
from the worries of my day.

The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all
caught in “Mom, let’s run through the rain,” she said.

    “What?” Mom asked.

“Let ‘s run through the rain!” She repeated.

“No, honey. We’ll wait until it slows down a bit,” Mom replied.

This young child waited about another minute and repeated: “Mom, let’s run
    through the rain,”

“We’ll get soaked if we do,” Mom said.

“No, we won’t, Mom. That’s not what you said this morning,” the young girl said
as she tugged at her Mom’s arm.

This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?

“Don’t you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said,
‘If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!”

The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn’t hear anything but
the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would
laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was
said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child’s life. A time when
innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.

“Honey, you are absolutely right. Let’s run through the rain. If GOD let’s us
get wet, well maybe we just needed washing,” Mom said

Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted
past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over
their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who
screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.

And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.

Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take
away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take
away your precious memories…So, don’t forget to make time and take the
opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a
time to every purpose under heaven.

I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate
them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Keep in touch
with your friends — and don’t forget to run in the rain!

This is disheartening. We should avoid comparing the two. Other than both having worked with David Foster, Cha and Jackie have two very distinct journeys ahead of them. One big difference, Jackie almost won America’s Got Talent and excels in her genre, a rarity at such a young age. Charice, on the other hand, as David Foster stated, the challenge is finding a niche for Charice as she is exceptional in various genres. At this point, it’s trial and error.

Charice is already a big success for me in terms I cannot even quantify. She has my respect, admiration, and more! I want Cha to live a full, happy, nothing short of a wonderful life. As far as success in music, I wish her the very best. I will support her unconditionally, whether or not she is at the top of the charts. For whatever it’s worth, she is already at the top of my list.

      Hi, JR1.

I agree with you, but I think you may rub off many posters the wrong way with the way you approach. Please don’t give up hope. Having said that, though, I wish Charice’s management team will be candid as to what exactly her barriers are. People think that in America just because a “minority,” “the not so beautiful–how ever that is defined commercially,” “the tall”, etc., etc. can make it big that it is possible for everyone. Charice already made strides; perhaps she is the avatar of change; I am hoping she will be much more, and for America to know that people Asia can be good singers, they can be sexual, they can stupid, they can be handsome, they don’t have to be computer geeks, they don’t all have to sing Karaoke (well, maybe not…lol), they don’t have to have an accent if they are Asian and live in outer space (Thor), etc., etc.

In America, they can convince people that Robots or animated cartoons can save the planet in the world of movies, but Optimus Prime has taken bigger roles than most Asian characters. Wake up world–we would not need laws if people were so kind by nature.

I have, like so many others, been following this situation of so-called Chasters criticizing Charice’s looks. I can certainly sympathize with Charice on this one. No matter how thin I have ever been, I have always had a round face (and I am not Asian). When others would comment about it, chipmunk cheeks was my least favorite, I took offense. But then I started to realize something. My girlfriend was always much prettier than their girlfriend. So now who is the unattractive person here? I have said it before and I will say it until the day I die, Charice has a beautiful, gorgeous face. Christie Brinkley, perhaps the most beautiful supermodel ever, has a round face. I always look forward to seeing more photos of Charice because she just keeps getting better looking every day. Sweet, humble, beautiful, funny, and ultra-talented. Sounds like the total package. Sounds like Charice to me.

Clarification on the real reason for Cha’s Facebook deactivation: It has less to do with the negative remarks than with the betrayal of Cha’s trust. She supposedly let 600 or so guests into her page, trusting they were all genuine Chasters, only to find a few disingenuous posers who betrayed themselves the second they displayed their negativity in writing. Even if you have the thickest skin, you shouldn’t have to fall prey to predators, least of all in your niche. People are entitled to their opinion, but why not create their own page or blog? Why trash someone’s page when you’re a mere guest? The rudeness and cruelty are uncalled for, albeit convenient from behind the computer, deserving some kind of punishment by law, but unfortunately like cyber bullying, this could only be self-regulated, as Admin regulates posted comments here in Charicemania. The least these posers could have done was be grateful for the privilege and kindness Cha had afforded them and keep their opinions to themselves. I support Cha’s decision. Her page, her rules, her prerogative. If you can’t love Cha the way we true Chasters do, leave, begone, and make yourselves useful somewhere else.

third:some people and singers spend a lot of of money to be slim it’s not bad,but you know sometimes i think they don’t know how to attract others with their main work so they distract people this way(i dont say everyone just some),but we love charice for herself and for her heavenly voice, and the good moments she made for us.l don’t say being slim and working on our shape is bad,but it’s not that much necessary and important.and every one should decide about this matter herself/himself,and by the way i think dear charice has made good decisions about it.

You are so right about all that you say. Charice should be allowed to be herself, and look the way she is which is just fine. Others are too obsessed about appearing too sexy; they are packaged like porn stars, and therefore too distracting. Charice has the voice and the soul. Her singing can penetrate the soul of the listener, and that’s everything. she doesn’t have to do anything more, nor change her look, but let her change only when she wants to change, when she’s ready as she matures further as a person and as a product. A true chaster’s love for Charice is, and always should be unconditional.

I understand that most of those nasty comments were in reference to how she appeared in the Glee season 2 finale. Charice is usually pretty good in ignoring negative comments – it comes with being a celebrity. However one subject that is forbidden territory, celbrity or not, is telling a woman that she gained weight. BTW she did not gain weight. The combination of the pulled back hair and the type of dress she wore promoted the illusion that she had gained weight.

I just prayed that Charice would have the strenght as well as the humour to “roll with the punch”, so to speak.

She is a legitimate superstar and these assaults on her person kinda proved it. If Charice chooses the high road amidst these unsavory criticism being hurled at her, no doubt her stock will even go higher. She is going to shine brighter with a battle tested character.

I don’t want to start war with them because that will only add to their notion of self-importance. I feel very much for Charice. I think it’s best to ignore these people with their comments and I meditate they will go away, or see the light, and to find their way home if they’re lost. Charice tweeted that she had to take down her Facebook account due to FAKE Chasters posting negative comments. They’re probably lurking here, cowardly thumbing down every positive comment about Charice. They’ll probably thumb this down, too. Don’t these crabs and haters have anything better to do than rain on someone else’s parade? Obviously, they can’t stand the fact that Charice is having the parade. GLAD for Charice is standing strong and smart, smiling still, being positive and productive as she always is. We reap what we sow. If you sow negativity, you’ll reap same. Charice is also reaping the rewards of the goodness she ceaselessly sows. Now we know why haters and crabs are drowning in their own hatred and envy, because at the end of the day, who’s more accomplished, successful, and blessed? No other than Charice!!!
