One more week to go and Charice will be back on Glee. But before that let’s still enjoy the Sunshine-free episodes as much as we can because Charice herself loves watching Glee, so we should too, right? Plus, this week’s episode “Rumors” had lots of twists that were so different than previous ones, it made watching Glee so much enjoyable – almost comparable to those Sunshine-y episodes. Stress on the word “almost”.
A Quick Recap
Brittani opens the show with “Fondue for Two”, her new talk show hosted on the web. Her confirmation of the rumor that Santana is “playing for another team” shocks everyone. This leads to Artie being suspicious of Brittani cheating with Santana. Brittani denies everything but Artie being so angry, called her stupid. Brittani explained to Santana what she meant of “playing for another team” – Santana’s not a cheerleader anymore.
Sue is still working on the destruction of Will and New Directions. She revels to Terri, a member of the League of Doom, that she will be restarting the school paper and use it to spread blind items and gossip about the glee club. Terri suggests that she’ll try to break up Will and the glee club with outside forces. Terri’s plan was to get April Rhodes to recruit Will for her new Broadway production of “CrossRhodes: The April Rhodes Story”. Will is torn apart whether he should fulfill his dreams or continue supporting New Directions.
Sue’s plan is working and the glee club leads are fighting each other. Finn accuses Quinn of cheating with Sam in a motel, which was published on the school paper. April gives Will the idea of having the club perform songs from Fleetwood Mac’s album, “Rumours”, which they recorded when they were also fighting with each other. The songs performed in the episode includes, “Dreams” by April and Will, “Never Going Back Again” by Artie, “Songbird” by Santana, “I Don’t Want to Know” by Finn and Quinn, and “Go Your Own Way” by Rachel.
Another school paper edition is released and everyone in New Directions is much more on edge than ever before. Quinn reads about Finn and Rachel hanging out together, and she gives Finn an ultimatum of not singing with Rachel to make her stay as her girlfriend. After all the gossip, Rachel reveals that she did see Quinn and Kurt with Sam in a motel on separate occasions. It’s all chaos and fighting until Sam admits the reason why he was at the motel – his father lost his job and their house, so they were staying in a rundown motel to survive.
Everyone chipped in to buy back Sam’s guitar, and Rachel tells him that New Directions needs Sam just as Sam needs music to live. All is okay within the glee club, as Will decided to stay and help the kids reach their dreams. But one little thing escaped a happy conclusion – Santana’s sexuality and her love for Brittani.
She tells Jacob Israel, a member of the school paper, that her relationship with Karofsky is going strong and that she will surely go to the prom with him. Santana confirmed that she and Karofsky were in love and are soulmates when she saw that Brittani was listening to the interview. But the episode ends with a happy note with a New Directions performance of “Don’t Stop” together with Sam’s younger siblings. Happy, right? But is that look on Will’s face means that he’s still thinking about leaving the glee club?
Charice on Glee Updates
Hollywoodlife.com reporter, Russ Weakland thought he saw someone who looks like Charice in the Paramount lot on May 4 where he was interviewing somebody else. He described that Charice was wearing “big black shades” while sitting in the passenger seat of a tan Prius “barely clearing the dash.” Hollywoodlife.com then tweeted Charice about the sighting. She confirmed that it was indeed her, and she tweeted back “That was me. Lol. Just did some fitting.
“
So there’s no more need to worry about Charice being absent from Glee in the last episodes of season 2, as she’s already doing fittings for the outfits she’ll be wearing as Sunshine Corazon. Aside from this, Columbia Records confirmed in a press release that Charice will be a part of the album “Glee: The Music, Volume 6”, singing an original track, “As Long As You’re There”. The album will be available on iTunes and Amazon on May 23, 2011 – a day before the Glee season finale, “Nationals”, airs.

Ryan Murphy lies to us. He always said in various interviews that Charice will be at Glee in 4 or 5 episodes this season 2. But that will not possibly happen.
