Charice’s fellow YouTube star, Greyson Chance, has come a long way since last year when his “Paparazzi” video went viral on the web. Greyson has now released his first EP “Waiting Outside the Lines” which includes the songs “Fire” by Augustuna, “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga, and a remix of “Waiting Outside the Lines” featuring Charice.

Greyson is the first artist signed to Ellen DeGeneres’ Eleveneleven record label, which Ellen formed after he performed on her show, Ellen. Since being signed, Greyson has gone on tour with Miranda Cosgrove  and appeared on the CBS Early Show. He is currently on tour with Cody Simpson and has just performed at the White House Easter Egg Roll. In his April 22 appearance on Good Morning America, Greyson announced that his debut album “Hold on ‘Til the Night” will come out before September 2011, and he also put in a plug for the “me and Charice version” of “Waiting Outside The Line.”

It’s definitely exciting that Charice is working with her fellow teen stars just like Nick Jonas in “One Day” and now, with Greyson Chance in “Waiting Outside the Lines (Remix)”. ClevverTV reported that “singing sensation Charice continues to up her game when it comes to music collaborations, working with two of the industry’s hottest young male artists,” further noting that it’s very exciting to hear that “Charice is working with two guys who are in her same age range and who also have the same level of talent that she does.”

Charice’s voice definitely adds some surprise and effectively complements Greyson’s voice. Popcrush.com gave a positive review of the remix: “Both young performers can really sing, and that’s what carries the track”. They also noted that the melody is a bit formulaic but still pleasant. Charice has been promoting the song together with her new singles, “One Day”, “Before It Explodes”, and her Glee song “All By Myself”. Fans of both artists have been calling for a live performance of the remix on Ellen. The show has great significance to both Greyson and Charice, since it is on Ellen that they first appeared on national television in the United States. Hopefully, this live performance comes true.
