Looks like Charice and her team are really stepping it up for her sophomore album by collaborating with a number of hit songwriters and music producers. Previously reported were Jim Beanz, Sean Garrett, The Jackie Boyz and Soulshock. Looking at their combined body of work, Charice’s album will definitely sound very RnB. And now, injecting a little bit of pop are Kara DioGuardi, Leah Haywood and Daniel James.
If you’ve watched American Idol seasons 8 and 9, you would surely know who Kara DioGuardi is. Before getting this gig for judging aspiring singers, DioGuardi has already written and produced over a hundred songs for various artists like Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Lohan, and Santana. DioGuardi also has a Latin Grammy nomination for co-writing the song, “Bella Traición”. 58 albums of different artists reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with the aid of DioGuardi’s songs.
Over 50 songs she has written also charted worldwide. Some of her hits include “Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship, “With Love” by Hilary Duff, “I’ve Got You” by Marc Anthony, “Ain’t No Other Man” by Christina Aguilera, and “Spinning Around” by Kylie Minogue. Charice is certainly in good hands with DioGuardi.
Last March 23, 2011, @kara_dioguardi tweeted “Just worked with charice in boston x.” plus a twitpic of her and Charice looking all chummy.
We don’t actually know why Charice picked Boston to collaborate with Kara DioGuardi, but it seems like she’s staying there to work more on her upcoming album. The husband and wife team of Leah Haywood and Daniel James runs Dreamlab, a songwriting and music production company. Both of them also tweeted that they’re in Boston working with Charice.
@dannytheboypipe tweeted: “Worked with Charice in Boston today! Killer. Eating french cuisine away from the cold now. Luv Boston!” He also posted a photo of him with Charice and Leah Haywood in the studio. @leahhaywood also tweeted: “Just worked with @officialcharice in Boston!! And Yep ….she’s OFFICIAL!!! Its gonna get louder up in herrrreee”. Haywood also posted the same photo with Charice that James posted.
Leah Haywood and Daniel James are both from Australia, where Leah recorded and released her hit album, “Leah”. She was also nominated as Best Female Artist at the 2001 ARIA Music Awards. It was in 2002 when they decided to open their company, Dreamlab, in Los Angeles. Their songwriting duo is behind the hit “Rush” by Aly & AJ which sold over a million copies across the globe. They have also worked with teen stars Vanessa Hudgens, Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, and Ashley Tisdale.
Based on the previous songs of these three songwriters/producers, Charice is indeed taking a musical path that’s very up-tempo and aimed at attracting younger listeners to Charice’s music.

@emerald
Looks like what I posted gives you the willies. Listen, you need to calm down. No need to shout. Replying with all caps does not change the message content, it just makes it loud. Chill.
So I guess you infer by saying that since, to paraphrase you, “she’s [one of] the [top] caliber songwriters,” so she doesn’t need to tweet positive, then it logically flows that those who tweeted glowingly about Charice don’t belong to the same tier DioGuardi is in. Interesting…
It’s my opinion. You could be one of the screaming-meemies about it, but nothing changes.

Too matter of fact. Leaves me wondering whether Charice impresses her or not.

Twitting a photo with Charice was saying a lot things already like being comfortable with her. She twitted first not Cha and that is a compliment that we can thank her for.
