I haven’t found a song list for the Blu-ray disk or the CD so there is still hope that “To Love You More” will be included on them as it was also spectacular; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCyY4wHIUuI
.
Charice’s surprise entrance on “Eath Song” will be “the talk” at cocktail parties by PBS members everywhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfnELSvzElE
.
As great as Charice sounds on Youtube, the sound on this CD and Blu-ray disk will be many times better!
.
You can pre-order them now: Amazon, Circuit City, CD Universe, etc
.
The 2009 Show is still a top-seller at Amazon. I’m sure this will be also!

But only a lineup with LEGENDS can warant a DVD/TV release and to have Charice be part of that as well is golden.
The only problem, which shouldn’t really be a problem, is that she can do EVERYTHING. And when she does something that is not within an age bracket of a certain Chaster, we get whining and complaints =p
Everyone just needs to chillax! If she does something for the more contemporary crowds like she did in this event, just be happy that she’s given the chance. If these contemporary types of events doesn’t suit you, just be patient and I’m sure she’ll be doing another radio tour in the near future with a lineup that suits your taste. =)

As I previously wrote in the recap of the show, many of the other artists had multiple retakes throughout the night to re-do some of their performances. Charice did NOT have any retakes at all that night, and looking back on it now, I’m actually kind of glad time ran out at the end of the show which prevented Charice from re-doing ABM. Here’s why:
Each time an artist performed a song that night, the initial crowd reaction was very strong after each first go-around. However, when DF wanted the artist to do another take, I noticed that the crowd response/interaction was noticeably MUTED during the 2nd take, and even if the artist had received a standing ovation after the 1st take, the crowd would stay in their seats with polite applause after the 2nd take. This being a simple result of human nature, as it’s harder to maintain the same level of genuine energy from the crowd response after already hearing the same song just a few moments earlier. I’m not sure how that’s going to come across on screen in the final edit.
Regarding ABM, I still CAN’T believe how Charice just absolutely NAILED that final note (like the laserbeam she is), following the dramatic pause/break after the DF ‘mistake’. As I’ve already shared, NO ONE in the audience would have known that DF had made a mistake if he did not say so himself after the song.
After hearing how the song ‘should’ have ended as evident in the ABM performances from the other DFF venues, I am so beyond amazed at how Charice hit that final note in perfect key/pitch, without having the preceding notes guiding her up that crazy vocal ladder to that ridiculous apex.
In fact, I think I even prefer this dramatic ending to the song better than the original version! And as we all saw, the crowd went BALLISTIC after her final note, and the entire arena was on its feet for the performance of the night! I’m SO glad they decided to keep that performance on the final cut, as it will surely send shivers down every viewer’s spine.
The duet with Neyo was simply EPIC, and actually my favorite moment of the night. The FIERCE and POWERFUL way that Charice came onto that stage and literally took over the entire arena is a moment I will never forget as a Chaster.
Oh by the way, that night was also the first time I ever heard Jackie Evancho sing as well, and wow, if you haven’t heard her performance from that night on youtube yet, wait for it on this special. Simply breathtaking. All in all, this PBS Special/DVD/CD is going to be one of the early highlights of 2011, in the Year of Charice!
