Reports have suggested that Charice is set to make a return to ‘Glee’ when she sings Black Eyed Peas’ “Meet Me Half Way” in the 11th episode of the current series, on February 6.

The episode has already been dubbed the Super Bowl episode, both for its plot line and for the fact that it will air after the 2011 Super Bowl, one of the most watched sporting events in the world.

Charice has made no secret of the fact that Sunshine Corazon would be returning to the show after the winter break, but has so far succeeded in giving no information on either when and how it will happen. Now, according to a song list for the episode that has been leaked, she will sing the 2009 hit “Meet Me Half Way” along with Vocal Adrenaline.

The rest of the unconfirmed song list includes Kathy Perry’s hit “California Gurls”, which will be sung by Brittany, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, to be sung by New Directions, and Destiny Child’s oldie from 1999, “Bills Bills Bills”, sung by Blaine, Kurt and Dalton Academy Warblers.

Even if we wanted to forget about Glee we couldn’t, as the online grapevine produces over-time with rumors, spoilers, promises and other kinds of uncorroborated news about the upcoming season.

News of Charice’s return to the show in the Super Bowl episode isn’t exactly new to our ears – in fact it dates back to early December – but leaked plot details as well as the song list, seems to add more credence to the claim.

The show’s plot is reportedly set to see McKinley High overrun with football fever, with the school football team forced to join Glee Club as punishment for reacting badly to the recruitment of Rachel, Tina and Mercedes on the team. You can imagine the result, but some confusion still remains over what else goes on in the episode, as the makers continue to guard details as closely as possible.

Charice’s re-appearance on the show is one of the most anticipated events on US popular TV, with the Filipino songstress already having won over Glee fans with her remarkable performances. Some have even reported that her return to the show is in answer to the overwhelming level popularity that Sunshine Corazon has enjoyed from fans.

Regardless of the reasons, Chasters and Glee fans will celebrate her return in any case.
