“30 Days With Charice” is a documentary by Emmy-award winning director Matthew Mills, cut into four-minute-episodes with new ones released every Wednesday and Friday on Teen.com.
Previous Episode
The fifth episode brought us to Tokyo and we got to witness how Charice impressed the Japanese media with her amazing voice and strong presence. After a flawless “In This Song” performance, the cameras shifted backstage where Charice met one-on-one with the who’s who of print, radio, TV, online, and music. Charice revealed that she got good responses from the Japanese, and that’s really something as they’re very hard to impress. Day 2 in Japan meant a stylish photo shoot for the cover of her album’s Japanese edition. And the final look of the album was certainly a hundred percent match to Charice’s incredible talent.
Episode 6: Home Sweet Home
From Japan, Charice flew to her beloved Philippines, and went straight to a belated celebration for her birthday and her aunt, Belen. A simple party with just close friends and relatives still made Charice very happy and it shows she’s really enjoying especially when she’s singing for all the guests.
We also get to see Charice’s childhood friend whom she met when she was just nine years old in a singing contest. It’s really nice to see celebrities still be able to look back where they came from, and be humble and unchanged by the success and fame they now have – and Charice is one perfect example. Even her manager, Marc Johnston agrees and even describes her as angelic.
A simple party at her house seems a bit trivial for someone like Charice, and the next day, we get a glimpse of some changes that prove she’s is now an international superstar. But if you’re thinking a grand party with lots of food and good music, you’re wrong. She’s organized a private event at Enchanted Kingdom (the Disneyland of the Philippines) where she’ll perform for disadvantaged children.
But Charice was surprised, in a good way, that the children also prepared some song and dance numbers for her. A touching moment in this episode was when a girl was onstage to sing a solo. Charice might have seen a little bit of herself in that girl who was singing her heart out, so she granted her wish of singing with her – and the girl was so happy that she got all weepy when Charice hugged her.
It was already dark when Charice headed out; and a crowd, excited to see her, was blocking the way and kept on pushing to get near her. It seems it was Charice’s first time to get mobbed and she seemed very nervous but just gamely smiled through it. And it was a perfect ending to a magical day for the kids and also, Charice. She stood at the center of adoring fans taking photos of her, while looking up to the night sky lit up by beautiful fireworks.
Episode 6: Charices heads back to the Philippines and gets a big surprise from her fans.

Still in the Philippines, Charice will get baptized in a catholic ceremony, attended by friends, relatives, and her chosen godparents. After that, she’ll be performing for an audience that’s one of the biggest she had in the Philippines. It’s a jam-packed episode next week with both the spiritual and celebrity side of Charice in full display. We’re already past halfway of the “30 Days With Charice” series, and the remaining episodes are a must-watch for everyone, so don’t forget to visit Teen.com on Wednesday for episode 7.

You wonder why some producers of Reality TV Shows dig up really disgusting stories of lives that were best kept under a rock. Charice is my Reality TV. I check on her everyday and her life story is one that inspires and it just keeps getting better and better and the more we know of her, the more we fall in love with her. She is the real deal! Once again, thank you!
