GLEE_WIND VIDEO UPDATE – Highlights from Episode 1.
Tonight’s second-season premiere offers a reassuring blast of singing, dancing and high-school-faculty power-plays. New additions to the cast include: Sunshine, an exchange student with a big smile and bigger voice (played by teenage pop star Charice, whose fan club includes Oprah Winfrey); the Justin Bieber-esque Chord Overstreet as Sam, and a new football coach, known as “the Beast” (played by Dot Jones).
While Overstreet and Jones might not be too recognizable, Gleeks may remember Charice from her multiple “Oprah” appearances. “I love all the cast. They actually really gave me a warm welcome when I was on the set,” she said. “I love my character. It’s really me. It’s very Charice.”
Glee Season 2 will premiere its first episode “Audition” tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central on FOX.

For now, Hulu is a U.S. service only.

POLL: Which Song Made You Sing with Glee?
It was back-to-school time at McKinley High, and some new faces showed up and showed off their musical chops. Pop sensation Charice performed twice as Sunshine Corazon, singing “Telephone” with Rachel in the ladies’ room and then “Listen” for her glee club audition, before deciding to transfer to Vocal Adrenaline.

‘Glee’ Returns with Huge Ratings Win
Debuting on a new night and a new time — Tuesday at 8 p.m. over its Fall 2009 timeslot of Wednesday at 9 p.m. — “Glee” received 12.3 million total viewers on Sept. 21, up 20% compared to its first season finale total of 11.1 million total viewers, and its best standalone tally without an “American Idol” lead-in.
Season 2 will definitely include recurring appearances by Charice, Chord Overstreet and John Stamos. “[Charice] came in, and it was a lovely meeting, and at the end her manager just had her sing a couple bars of ‘Gold Digger’ and it was like ‘Ohhhh, hold on a second,’” Falchuk says. “Oh yeah, she’s worth writing for.” (In the season opener, Charice sings a blow-the-roof-off rendition of Beyoncé’s “Listen,” and Falchuk says the intercut reactions of the “Glee” cast to her performance were all real. “It was shock,” he says. “She’s 4 foot 2 and she can sing like that? Ridiculous.”)

Charice’s ‘Glee’ Debut And The Return Of ‘Modern Family’ In Today’s Tweet Dreams
Lea Michele’s character knew it in last night’s season premiere of “Glee,” and now the world knows it: Singing sensation Charice is a force to be reckoned with! The Twitterverse was clearly impressed by the 16-year-old’s “Glee” debut, including Former “Glee” guest star and crooner Josh Groban who wrote to her, “@officialcharice Great job on Glee! Very happy that so many people will hear your beautiful voice.” Charice (pictured) was clearly flattered by the attention, tweeting, “wow! trending topic!!
thank you so much!! <3 i love you all!!!”
But, Charice isn’t the only big thing in television this week, just ask Jesse Tyler Ferguson who told followers, “Any North Americaner who follows me on twitter doesn’t need to be told what tonight is: Its the night after the big Glee premier!”

Coach Dustin Goolsby
Broadway and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson seems on the verge of rocketing to even bigger stardom after his Tuesday debut in a recurring role on Glee.
Jackson spoke with reporter Itay Hod at The Daily Beast:
“Jackson is sworn to secrecy about his new gig, but this much he’s allowed to say: His character, Dustin Goolsby, will be the new coach of rival singing group Vocal Adrenaline. (The position became available after the old coach, played by Idina Menzel, quit her job at the end of Season 1 to become a full-time mom).
“’I’m the anti-Will Schuester and I’m causing some drama,’ he said, referring to the lovable character played by Matthew Morrison.”
Jackson almost won the role of Schuester, in fact, in one of two previous attempts to join the cast of Glee.

LAURA SAYS: Step Aside, Lea Michele — Charice Should Totally Be The New Queen Bee Of ‘Glee’!
After hearing Charice sing on the season premiere of Glee, I finally get why she’s being touted as the most talented girl in the world!
As impossible as it may seem, the second season of Glee is gearing up to be even more epic than the first!
For starters, I’m glad that SOMEONE finally gave Rachel (Lea Michele) a run for her money. As Filipino foreign exchange student Sunshine, Charice stole the show! Although her bathroom scene rendition of Beyonce and Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” was fab, I absolutely had chills when she sang “Listen” from Dreamgirls.
But it looks like we won’t be seeing the 18-year-old superstar on the regular (insert sad face here). In a fit of jealous rage, Rachel screwed with Sunshine’s audition by sending her to a crack house. It’s no surprise here that the poor girl decided to transfer schools — and headed straight to rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline. Oy! But at least we know she’ll be returning for future episodes…and Rachel had better watch her back!

Glee’ Season 2 Premiere ‘Audition’: TV Recap
The real talent this year, though, is Sunshine Corazon, played by Filipina singing sensation Charice. The Oprah-approved pintsize diva certainly gave Rachel a pre-heart attack in the bathroom while they battled to turn Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s collaboration of “Telephone” into a catfight with Hello Kitty claws. Scared about losing the spotlight, Rachel gives Sunshine awful directions to the audition: a crackhouse. Rachel’s surprisingly getting meaner, and it suits her. We see Sunshine got some edge to her, too, with that sassy surprise of Dreamgirls’ “Listen” in the audition. Popcorn, anyone?

‘Glee’ Recap: Let’s Hear It for New Dorks
Sunshine Corazon (Charice): The other major newcomer tonight was that Oprah-endorsed nugget of soul. Charice/Sunshine’s voice is insane, especially considering she’s about the size of a lawn gnome and dresses like a Harajuku girl (although I do always love the addition of a nice beret). And just like Beiste’s arrival brought out the beast in Sue, so too did Sunshine’s debut provide a focus for the crazy machinations of our fair Rachel Berry, and that, in turn, shone a spotlight on Lea Michele’s undeniable skills. Girl was absolutely bitch-tastic in this episode — sending the brand-new exchange student to a crack house? — and then surprisingly touching at the end (and that’s hard to do while wearing socks with loafers).

‘Glee’ Charice, Chord and Dot: How Do You Like the New kids?
Sunshine Corazon (Charice) – Okay, wow! We’ve seen her on talk shows and YouTube before, but there’s nothing like putting her in a “Glee” setting, making her look so cute and innocent and then letting her absolutely kill that song. We got goosebumps. Also, having her recruited by Vocal Adrenaline may mean we’ll get some diva offs in the future.

and then I imagined what other songs she could sing next, and “In This Song” would fit right in, what with the theme of singers aspiring for some lofty goal, and the challenges they face. And that could very well evolve to be the anthem of Glee.

RACHEL: YOU. LIKE. ME. SING. YOU. LIKE. ME. SING. VEEERRYYY. MUCH.
SUNSHINE: Uh, I too, speak English.
PUCK: Dude, your mouth is huge. How many tennis balls can you fit in there?
SAM: I don’t know, I’ve never had any balls in my mouth. Have you?
FINN: (aside, to Kurt) I like this kid.
RACHEL: I’m sorry I sent you to a crackhouse.
SUNSHINE: (sarcastic) They used my music sheet as toilet paper.
WILL: Stop fighting! We’re a family!
SANTANA: Oh, please! She has a family, she’s a mother!
SUE: First of all, a female football coach, like a male nurse-sin against nature. Number two, I’m sure you’re used to Hillbilly parents yelping adulation at you as they attempt to impregnate the tailpipes of various off-road vehicles, but you’re in my house now, Beiste. No one comes into my house and steals from me.
BEISTE: Do not get up in a panther’s business, lady. You’re all coffee and no omelet.
SUE: (whispering) That doesn’t make any sense.
SUE: See this? It’s a court summons-child endangerment-’cause there’s been a line of would-be Cheerios out there since late July. I guess they lost their humanity a little bit. One girl ate a pigeon, several others started worshiping a possum carcass as their lord.
BRITANNY: Stop the violence.
TINA: Mike tries to be into what I’m into. Like his abs.
RACHEL: I didn’t send her to an active crack house. Besides, how did you guys find out anyways?
MIKE: We Asians are a very tight community.
WILL: Wait, kids don’t like it when I rap?
SUE: The two of you are making a very serious mistake today, the likes of which have not been seen since the Mexican Indians sold Manhattan to George Washington for an upskirt photo of Betsy Ross.
SUE: A person that has to pump her naughties full of gravy to feel good about herself clearly doesn’t have the self-esteem to be my head cheerleader. Quinn will replace you. Oh, and Boobs McGee, you’re demoted to the bottom of the pyramid, so when it collapses, your exploding sandbags will keep everyone safe from injury.
KURT: Fashion has no gender.
LOLs. Noticed that Sue’s lines are the best? I just added them for fun. Oh, and guys, I agree.
CHARICE IS THE BEST. PERIOD. I’m new, and I got converted as a Charice fan. Wooohooo! Way to go girl! Give Rachel a run for her money!
