MANILA, Philippines – International singing star Charice, who is fascinating both local and foreign viewers with her astounding performance in the ongoing season of “Glee,” should serve as a major attraction in the coming Aliw Awards, which has been going through some “image” problem.

The “little girl with a big voice,” along with “Pilipinas Got Talent” titlist Jovit Baldivino, is being eyed to lead the list of guest performers in the staging of this year’s Aliw Awards set October 18 at the historic Manila Hotel. MANILA, Philippine – International singing sensation Charice took time out of her busy schedule to watch a singing competition in her hometown in Cabuyao, Laguna despite being in the United States.

Charice used Skype, which allows Internet users to make voice calls, to see the contestants in Barangay Gulod as they showcased their talents.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Hollywood’s Filipino stars came out to Beverly Hills to support a cause. Operation Smile, the international charity that supports free surgeries for children born with facial deformities held it’s 9th annual gala on September 24.
