The blending of their voices is very mellow and melodic. He’s a great partner for her voice. Wish they could do an album of duets together (?)

I don’t know why they took “Listen” out from Muzit. Listen, though a popular Beyonce song, became a “trademark song” for Charice in Hollywood. I could still vividly remember when David Foster was urging a star-studded crowd on Leeza Gibbons & Olivia Newton-john after Oscar party to keep quiet unfortunately nobody listened to him.
David was frustrated that he unleashed Charice to them. When Charice started to sing “Listen” the once unattentive and very noisy crowd was suddenly “muted” and so focused listening to Charice until the last note was sang. LOL.

@erniepep He, he. I used to call that event Charice’s musical scolding of a noisy crowd. The song took on a new meaning from the first words that came out of her mouth. “Listen…hmmmm.” It’s like “Hey, people! I’m running out of patience. I’m here to share my gift to you. I come halfway around the globe and waited till late in the night for my turn to sing just for you to present me with this unruly behavior!”

Princess then unleashed sort of her musical fury. The crowd became silent till the middle of the song when she pointed to the crowd while somewhat glaring at them, “You should have listened!” And the crowd guiltily cheered her on, “Okay, okay. You got us. We’ll listen here onwards.” And it became a night they would all long remember. Lol

it could also have been her theme song at Little Big Star:

        ——————————————
“… Listen to the sound from deep within
It’s only beginning to find release …

I’m not at home in my own home …

Oh, I’m screaming out and my dreams’ll be heard …

I’m more than what you made of me
I followed the voice you think you gave to me
But now I’ve gotta find my own, my own”
        ——————————————

the Great Melody within her was just beginning to grow and express itself, and would not be fully recognized at this stage. Not finding full actualization and acceptance at home, she went on to find her own voice and further develop the gift she believed she had, and moved on to where she would find people who will … Listen …
