Hey guys. I’m Joslyn Davis, and you’re watching ClevverTV.
Our latest artist spotlight is on a Teenage singing sensation who is quickly and very swiftly taking the music world by storm. After several appearances on the Oprah show, and a collaboration with David Foster, who btw is one of the most successful music producers in the world, Charice is poised to become a household name.
She was born in the Philippines, and after a fantastic performance of Happy Birthday when she was only 4 years old, her mom decided to put her in singing lessons. And that was it. By age 7, Charice was performing in contests all over the place. But it wasn’t until a few years later that she really hit it big – and a youtube video of a performance on a Filipino talent show – really let Charice catch the attention of American big wigs like Oprah and Ellen Degeneres.
And with that, Charice went on to perform with the talents of people like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban and even Michael Buble.
So what’s next for the young rising star? Well she said she really wants to dance and sing with Justin Timberlake. But until that actually happens, she still has a ton to look forward to…including the success of her song Pyramid and her upcoming role as an exchange student on Fox’s hit show Glee.
Safe to say that Charice is the star to watch right now. If she wasn’t already on your radar, then she should be.

Note: inaccuracies notwithstanding, the important point here is the exposure that Charice is getting in the mainstream media that is so exciting to see. We know, Charice’s mom was the one who taught her how to sing, the Ellen show came before Oprah, of course, and technically speaking it was the first Star King appearance in Korea that caught the eyes.. er.. ears… of Ellen, Oprah, and David Foster.

yeah, great job chasters for rubbing it in ClevverTV’s face. Hope they are proud of how much knowledge they have, those who posted the “in your face” comments on that video managed to convince ClevverTV to remove the video!
I was talking to someone in Charice’s camp who said this “Do they realize the cost of it being removed from Clevver TV?” Well, now that you know, hope chasters think twice next time and see the forest from the trees.

I’m glad per the new comments above that the vid is coming back up on ClevverTV’s Youtube channel.
I agree, Eve. I hope peeps ease up on their comments.. ClevverTV has 143,327 subscribers to their YT channel and that’s definitely great exposure for Charice. That number brings good possibilities of would-be Charice fans.

Unfortunately Clevver TV has removed the original video from their YouTube channel due to complaints from chasters about the facts not being exactly right. Well, here are the stats for Clevver TV’s YouTube channel (see below)… pretty impressive. Decide for yourself if you’d rather have these kinds of viewer numbers for the now deleted video or that they’d get the facts exactly just right? Keep in mind this is not an almanac, it’s just a 2-minute video which people won’t even remember the details a week later. However, they do remember the gist of the message being that this girl has “the biggest voice to enter the music world in a long time” and you better take note of who she is!
Frankly, I’m peeved that the petty complaints over the “facts” (which just a relative handful of chasters really care about) has resulted in the removal of this positive, mainstream video from Clevver TV’s YouTube channel. It could have made such a lasting impression on their much wider channel viewership. THEY HAVE 142,000 SUBSCRIBERS and 216 MILLION VIEWS over the past two years!!
As it stands now, such high praise as “Charice is poised to become a household name” will now only be viewed by the chasters who are searching for the latest Charice videos on youtube, and not by ClevverTV’s general audience. That is such a crying shame, and who knows if ClevverTV will even want to take on Charice as a future video topic with this kind of scrutiny and nitpickers.
The “big picture” is to get Charice the widest exposure possible IMHO, and not teaching that “A” came before “B” to people who don’t care and who won’t even remember. Just sayin’…

We know the facts, if some journalists make it wrong or have small errors. lets forgive them and not argue about it, unless you have the contact and send them an email to correct it.
False Voice will forever be in our hearts as the one who have played a major part in Princess Charice’s universal stardom. No arguement.

Its true indeed that you cannot be up high if you already up there, and the only way to go up is to start at the bottom, its just like when you were little learning how to count, you did not start counting from number 2 but from number 1 or from 0 perhaps, what I mean is Charice has’nt been seen for the first time by korean television show performing on their own show but Charice was first seen performing on little big star which caught the attention of the sweedish recording com. and by the korean television show and was invited to perform to their show and that very performance indeed gave her a break to be known worldwide…
