We LOVE Charice!
I had the pleasure of interviewing Charice today! She is absolutely amazing. She even sang two songs for us: one from her new album and she also sang One Less Lonely Girl by Justin Bieber!
Her journey and story is truly inspiring and if you haven’t seen some of her videos from her formative years, you must check them out!
As always, Vervegirl’s videographer Khizer Pervez was on-hand to catch all all of the amazing moments with Charice.
Here’s Charice’s video from 2007 on the South Korean talent show, Star King.

just a short comment before I leave.
Cha’s favorite footwear when not on stage? rubber shoes! Ha ha ha … she reminded me of me many years ago. Everyone in my office had that look in their face, hugh? What the heck is a rubber shoes they asked. I told them … well, in the Philippines you either wear a leather shoes or a rubber shoes or slippers. Leather coz it is made of leather, rubber coz the sole is made of rubber, same thing with a pair of slippers. What’s a slipper? the they went on and on and on. I’m sure it happened to some of you guys.

I did the same Joy — told people at work that I prefer wearing ruber shoes on weekends. Here, they call them gym shoes or something else but not rubber shoes like what we call them in the Philippines.
Also, In U S are slippers called flip flops?

You’re right Becky, they are called snickers or traininers for rubber shoes and flip flops for slippers. They have different names for different styles of shoes too.

flip flops refer only to casual footwear, like what you would wear on a sandy beach. More stylish footwear would be called “sandals” altho’ can be casual sandals too. In the US, slippers are what you wear at home for going around the house, not designed for outdoor wear at all. I’ve never heard “rubber shoes” before lol. These are sneakers, tennis shoes or referred by brand name (Nikes, Adidas, Pumas, Converse, Vans, Skechers). These cultural differences are interesting. ^_^
