Earlier this month, Charice was rumored to join the hit FOX series but she herself shot down the news via Twitter. “I just want to let you all know, that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee,” she said.

Well, now it’s true! Be Glee-ful!!!

When that rumor began to spread earlier this month via her loose-lipped manager, Charice herself shot it down via Twitter. “I just want to let you all know, that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee,” she said.

Well, it’s true now! Sources confirm to me exclusively that the international pop star is signed, sealed, and delivered to recur next season as a foreign exchange student whose killer vocals get Rachel (Lea Michele) contemplating murder.

Not literally, mind you.

Glee: Charice confirms role next season; Justin Bieber could follow

Charice and Justin Bieber are two of the hottest teen pop stars on the planet right now. Both singing sensations made appearances on a highly publicized episode of “Oprah” earlier this year. And it looks like Justin and Charice could once again find themselves making appearances on the same television show in the future.

Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly has recently confirmed that Charice will definitely be joining the cast of “Glee” next season. Charice denied rumors of a future appearance earlier this year via Twitter. “I just want to let you all know, that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee,” Charice tweeted earlier this month.

Don’t expect to see Charice playing herself when she joins the cast in the fall. She will play a foreign exchange student, giving Lea Michele’s character a run for her money in glee club.

While nothing has been confirmed with Justin Bieber for next season, a virtual Bieber campaign has been active on the internet for the past several months. Even some of the “Glee” cast members are rallying for Justin to join the team.
Cory Monteith is pulling for the teen pop star to make an appearance in the future. “I think it would be fun,” Monteith recently told E! News. “What’s wrong with a little Bieb? Everyone needs to be a little infected by the Biebonic plague.”

Despite her denials earlier this month Filipino singing sensation Charice has officially booked an arc on season two of “Glee” as a foreign exchange student whose killer pipes make Rachel Berry see red. People everywhere are freaking out over the news — and yet I’m sitting here wondering, “who the eff is Charice?”

The gist is that she was born in the Philippines and rose to fame on YouTube. Since then she’s appeared on nearly every talk show, including Oprah’s, where the living legend dubbed the 18-year-old the “most talented girl in the world.”

So apparently, I’m oblivious … which I hate. So off to YouTube I went, walking away with a slackjaw and two videos you must see!

Sounds like Rachel has reason to be scared!

(Well, not literally, but probably close–we all know she has a penchant for the over-dramatic.)

The casting rumor started earlier this month, with Charice’s manager as the source, but the Filipino singing sensation, who got her start on Youtube, shot it down on Twitter. “I just want to let you all know, that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee,” she said. Now, according to Ausiello, it’s the truthiest truth that ever truthed. And Rachel will not be pleased.

Sing-offs are all well and good, but we have just five words for the too-cute Charice: Keep your hands off Finn!

Sources confirm pop star Charice is coming to Glee this fall in a recurring role.

I’m told Charice will play a foreign exchange student (just reported by EW) with an ah-mazing singing voice–who will catch the eye of at least one Glee boy (shades of S.E. in American Pie), and the stank eye of one Ms. Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

Meanwhile, we’re told there is “nothing to report” regarding rumors that that other singing sensation you may have heard of, Justin Timberlake, will be coming on the show–at least not yet. Multiple cast members–including Lea, Jenna Ushkowitz and even his doppelganger Matthew Morrison–have told me they’d love to have his sexy back on for a M.M./J.T. dance-off, so keep those fingers crossed.

Now, start your betting. Which guy will catch Charice’s eye? And what are we gonna do about it?

‘Glee’: Charice confirmed as recurring role; no ‘Glee’ movies yet, says Ryan Murphy

Charice, or Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco, the internationally-known pop star from the Philippines, will be joining the “Glee” kids of McKinley High in a recurring guest role in Season 2, FOX confirms to Zap2it. She’s got some pretty decent vocal chops (Oprah once called her the most talented girl in the world), so we can’t wait to see her go up against Lea Michele’s Rachel Berry.

In other “Glee’ news, creator Ryan Murphy is dispelling the notion of any “Glee” movies coming to the big screen. Murphy tells EW, “There will be no ‘Glee’ movie in the foreseeable future. Despite overtures, I and the studio have decided we want to put our energy into the second season with no distractions for the cast.”

It was recently revealed that the “Glee” actors all have a clause in their contracts for up to three feature length movies. But Murphy just said “foreseeable future” …

‘Glee’ Gets Bigger—Filipino Pop Star Charice To Join The Cast

18-year old pop star Charice Pempengco, who hails from the Philippenes, will be joining the cast of Glee as a guest star during the second season. Because the one thing a show with an already giant cast needs is yet another supporting player!

But is joining the cast (even if for a limited time) of the Fox hit a smart move for the pop star? Charice already has a pretty successful career as a recording artist, and she’s quickly picking up new fans as the weeks go on. Does she want to let her own music take a backseat while she performs covers of already famous songs on a tight TV schedule? On the other hand, being on the show will definitely propel her into household-name-territory at warp speed, much like it did for Lea Michele and the rest of the Gleeks.

And besides, Matthew Morrison has a solo album coming out, and Lea Michele is picking up tons of side gigs during the show’s hiatus (including starring in cheesy Shampoo commercials), which proves that Glee’s cast can always find some time to pursue outside projects.

Charice Sings ‘GLEE’-fully

What was once just a rumor is now coming to fruition. Emerging singer Charice officially acknowledged that she’ll be joining the cast of ‘Glee.’ She Tweeted on Monday, “It’s official. I’m on Glee (next season) but story behind it. When d rumor came out, it wasn’t true. But then after that; I tried to audition. And i made it!!! Let’s Party!!!!”

Airing Thursday nights, the musical FOX show has attracted many big name guest stars, including Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris, in its short history.
