I already watched three concerts of Charice Live in different places. I met her once during the Meet and Greet at PICC, I asked her to sign my guitar and many more. I still can’t get enough of the inspiration that this girl can give to me.
I had a chance to see her again in Glorietta. This time I had a greater experience. Not that I had a chance to really talk to her and greet her but I think with such a BIG CROWD even her own Mom was just seated at the backstage and unselfishly shared her daughter to her fans.
So what I did is that, I went to sit besides Mom Raqz during Charice’s concert. How I got that close will remain a mystery. I asked Mom Raqz to sign my “My inspiration CDs ” she asked ” why me?”, I said “because you are a part of this album”. They had a duet there entitled “You and Me Against the World
Then I said to her I promised Noellen, UCLA, Jsc, Ebjohns, Lola Elrem, CAMO, Amazing CP, Ate fe, Webscribes, Eja, Zhy, Ab.bonita, Lantao, and many other Chasters, that I will kiss you for them. So Mom Raqz gladly and happily allowed me to kiss her many times on her cheeks. Other people thought I was a sister of Mom Raqz. lol.
Then I stayed by her side, when Charice was singing “You’re All the I need to Survive“, her Mom´s favorite from the album. I saw their connection. It was like magic and even my video was not able to capture the real essence and meaning of what I´ve experienced as I saw Charice´s eyes transfixed with her Mom’s as she sings her “You’re All that I Need to Survive”. I saw her deep love and respect and reliance to her Mom. So confident that in the midst of screaming fans, she will always be confident because her number one fan is there in front of her humbly and silently watching her sing with her heart and soul. Oh if only I had a high tech camera and captured that magical moment and almost out of this dimension experience. I would be very happy. But those kinds of privilege moments can only be kept in my memory and in my heart.
When the concert was finished and Charice who was still on stage signing the CD’s already, Mom Raqz silently stayed at the backstage looking at her girl. I went to her again (see I was so gravitated towards her, her humility and warmth inspired me-I know now why Charice is Charice…it was because of Mom Raqz).
I asked her again, Mom Raqz please sign My Charice CD’s and she humbly said ” No just wait for Charice” and then I said, “Well you worked hard as well when Charice was making this album, you are a great part of it, so please sign it”. Smilingly, she signed inside and humbly said, “This cover space is reserved for Charice”.
Then we talked about things, like how she loves the Chasters (she also proudly shared it with the media), how grateful she is of them and how she feels that they are part of her family already.
Then we talked about things (i,e, the St. Benedict Medal that I gave Charice) and other things which I will keep in my heart forever.
Then a group of Chasters went around 5 feet between us and gave cooked crabs for her! lol. She said it’s her favorite. She was very happy as she waves to them (Tintol and Nicole I guess were there in that group).
I really had a great time and lots of fun b0nding with Mom Raqz. It was just a very short moment but the impact will last a long time. Our bonding ended as she said, “OK just write me again and pray for us”. She said they still have Jessica Soho interview (GMA7 documentary to be shown Saturday May 29th) after that. So I hugged and kissed her again and thanked her for sharing Charice to everyone.

Then I saw Charice being escorted by 5 guards and the staff in that place. They were pushing me away from her, but I was still adamant in calling her. One guard said, “The autograph signing is finished already!”, but Charice said “Tita! (Auntie) and got my 5 CD’s and smiled at me and signed them all patiently and lovingly”. I was so strucked by that gesture because I know that she was already tired (I even saw her yawning at the backstage while walking, tired , due to her very busy schedule (Baptism, Enchanted Kingdom, then ASAP guesting and Glorietta CD launching, J. Soho/GMA interview on Sunday and Japan on Monday). But still her love for singing and her fans remain to be at the top priority.
I went home so inspired and happy knowing that the world can be a better place if we will all be grateful, strong, full of hope, happiness and joy while working hard to achieve our goals and dreams. Just like Charice!
One step at a time, our dreams will all come true. God bless us all!

hi artemis, this was link today by cm username, but for sure i’ve read this b4,those chasters blogging their experiences w/ charice.thats wonderful lifetime memory experience u’ve had w/ mommyraqz and charice. i’m here in houston but i sent my niece and her husband go to Glorieta to support charice and buy 2 “charice” albums and have it signed too. ask me how it was signed? coz i told her to go there very early to be 1st in line, coz i dont want the cd w/o her signature coz i have mine i ordered fr QVC during that live show. so my niece and her husband was there early a.m. when that mall’s gate was opened and until the show finished and signing of the albums. and i was both mailed to me here in houston. i’m happy it was signed even it really costs me a lot to do that way, coz i have to give extra money for my niece and hubby for their 3 meals there at the mall (breakfast, lunch and dinner, gas for the motorcycle) and 2 cd’s and registered airmail. she said charice really have great voice and was wearing blue hi heeled shoes, lots of fans but only limited fans able to have their cd’s signed they were given nos. and she was no. 7 or 11th? that she was cute, pretty and nice.

Pin and I have as favorites “You’re All I Need to Survive”. I’m so happy that Mom Raqz does too. To my friends who consider Charice as just somebody who “birits”, my secret weapon is this song. I let them listen to it and after the song their first question would be “What was the title of this song again?” Always! And that’show they get converted.

although I am not a parent, I can just imagine how Raquel feels as she watches her daughter from afar, doing her own thing. The best thing you can give your daughter is wings.
