Charice performed tonight with David Foster, Ruben Studdard, Nikki Yanofsky, and Joshua Page at the 63rd Annual Horatio Alger Awards Ceremony honoring former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and other notables.
This is a black tie event and 2-hour awards show featuring the stories of the recipients, a distinguished group of Americans who demonstrate that anything is possible in the land of opportunity.

The complete 2009 Awards Ceremony is re-broadcast at the Horatio Alger website where you’ll find out that David Foster (surprise!) is honored as a recipient at the 2009 Horatio Alger Awards Ceremony last year, along with Denzel Washington and Steven Wynn (yes, of Wynn Resort Hotel fame – Charice has even performed at one of his hotels at the Agassi fundraising event held at the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas).

David Foster is introduced right after the opening number and his featured story is in the second hour with video of him as a little kid, cute. It’s the full two hour show, but unfortunately there’s no scroll bar to allow you to skip through to David’s part. Actually, the stories are interesting because none of these recipients were born with a silver spoon in their mouths, exemplifying the spirit with which the award is given to those who have overcome adversity in their lives. Much like our princess Charice, I might add (smile).
Btw, Josh also reveals in his Facebook page: “Will be touring with David Foster in the later half of 2010! Check back here for dates and information as it comes!”
