Message from Warner Brothers Regarding Pyramid Music Video on YouTube
Dear Chasters;
We’re extremely appreciative of your passion for promoting Charice but its extremely important that we don’t get several versions of the wrong video on YouTube. There are several versions of the Pyramid Viral Video with the beginning card with text that shouldn’t be out on the internet. Please use the official video that Charice has uploaded onto her official YouTube Channel here: Charice – “Pyramid” (feat. Iyaz) Music Video
It is also extremely important that if you have loaded a version of the video to remove the version you have up and to embed our video (and link to iTunes) for your sites, and favorite on your channel so that we can aggregate views to the one official video. As I’m sure you know, having 2 or 3 different versions of the videos can confuse new fans and interferes with our metrics for success.
YouTube search takes several things into consideration when ranking videos in search: views, comments, ratings, and date of upload. When there are several videos getting more views than the official one, it can affect not only views but YouTube rankings in their video charts.

No worries as I will double my effort in viewing this official Pyramid video. Just voted for Charice at Disney channel. Last week I voted several times on ChumFM. I just hope she get invited to the Oscars.

I just came from work and I continued what I started this morning, I searhed for re-uploaders of her Pyramid Video with Iyaz and sent them an email message requesting to delete their videos, I even copied and pasted on the email the note from Warner Bros, I don’t know if it will work but I will keep doing it. My question is this, since Charice is the original uploader of the video, can she request YouTube to delete the re-uploaders for copywrite violation? Majority of the uploaders I think are really not Chasters or real fans of Charice, if they are, they will not re-upload. CM, can Charice claim the re-uploaders are violating copywrite ownership?

Chasters can help prevent this by thumbing down the re-uploaded versions. When several versions exist, the view counts are split between them and it dilutes the number that rightfully should go to Charice’s video.
