Charicemania.com was two years old on December 26th, 2009. We’re having an anniversary party and you are invited. Please join us as we revel in past adventures, mishaps, and successes. Here are stories and some pictures that will bring back memories. Charicemania is proud to have blossomed just as Charice has blossomed into a top internationally known entertainer.
December 26, 2007 – It all started with a web site that looked like this:
In the beginning, there were different free blog platforms for Charicemania to choose from: WordPress, Live Journal, Typepad and Google’s Blogger. Charicemania, a novice who has never blogged before and has only basic computer operating skills decided to try out Blogger for its simplicity. Blogger is considered the beginners choice because the instructions are simple and easy to follow.
May 2008 – Give a hearty welcome to the new Charicemania Blog, powered by Typepad:
We have outgrown Google’s Blogger software platform, and decided it isn’t right for us. Customization is where Blogger is slightly lacking. Blogger blogs can tend to look untidy and cluttered.
*** Notice the banner and Charice’s picture. Charice had released her first album “Charice.” In the Top Ten Countdown, her album was in ninth place in the Philippines on August 1, 2008.
October 2008 – Then Charicemania got a little more sophisticated:
Charicemania moved to WordPress, a blogging platform with a far richer, more robust feature set: better layout capabilities, better widgets and gadgets, and so on. This was when the first “true” Charicemania web site was born. Just one year later, Charicemania has enjoyed an unprecedented growth of 350% in visitor traffic; and ranks in the top 2 listings at Yahoo and Google search engines using the keyword “Charice.”
October 2009 – Charicemania today:
Same concept, same discussion areas, but new tools and new team members. Charicemania has grown incredibly in the last twelve months and this site has evolved to meet the growing needs of the community as a whole. For this site to serve the needs of its community, changes must be made. Our latest and current version was launched on October 15, 2009.
Feel free to explore Charicemania. There are many areas of interest from our video archive to our Community page. Also, we have an enhanced chat room (ET Room) there where you can be entertained by other Chasters singing directly to the chat room audience. Simply register by clicking on the “my home” tab under community. Other new features include a cleaner layout, the “Twitter toolbar”, Photo Gallery, Charicemania Store and Games.
So, we feel like the success of Charicemania parallels the success of Charice. We have both had tremendous achievements in just two years. We invite you to celebrate with us. Lastly, Charicemania could not have achieved these milestones without you, our visitors and Chasters, great support. Thank you very much!

Happy Anniversary Charicemania and to all the Chasters!!!Congratulations to Admin,Gm,to all the staff and volunteers of this site,for a job well done,and also to all the “Chaddicts” jeje for the unwavering support for our Princess.I may not come out here often but I do visit CM 4-6 times a day,and in my own little way do something for her to be known also here in Spain.My Spanish friends already know her,and now we are all waiting for the release of her Int’l. album.We all hope El Corte Ingles(the biggest Mall here in Spain) will have it as soon as it is release in public.

2nd anniversary of Charicemania? Wow, time flies so fast. My congratulations to Charicemania staffers, contributors and great fans all over the world for a job-well-done! Two years ago, Charice was about to take off with her young carrer with nothing except her excellent voice and charisma; now, her carrer, under watchful eyes of her great mentor and advisers, will showcase her first international album and optimism exudes already among her millions of fans around the world for its successful launching. Charice has gone a long way even in movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks (with Charice) which did very well at the Box Office as a consistent top 3 two weeks in a row now in U.S. earning already a whooping $157,345,000.00 unlike the original Alvin & the Chipmunks which fizzled out in just a few weeks. Charice’s first album, with unconditional loyal support of Charicemania as her powerhouse, and loyal fans around the world, will surely be a success!!!

just want to sneak in to greet/congratulate charicemania on its 2nd anniversary. i’ve been a lurker for a year now and do feel i’ve mustered enough courage to send you this message ’cause i owe u a lot guys,it’s about tym! thank you for the doses of medicine with charice’s latest performances each time and most of all(bec i’m half deaf) reading commentaries(you’ve a handful of very good writers)which i do enjoy,really. Maybe you don’t know it guys,your great fansite is moving the whole world with charice..it’s evident,keep it up! hope you would accept me as a half chaster(i’m half deaf) ’cause i can’t take part actively and my english is kinda rusty. I live in Italy for 20 yrs now,i lost touch of it this long.

Hello OMIE and hello to ADMIN and everyone involved in the upkeep of CM,
I was just re-introducing myself to Charice with the blog of Phil Bolsta. I wasn’t able to read his blog until now and I totally agree with OMIE and Lou. Of course the best way to know Charice is discover her on one’s own, satisfying one’s own curiosity and combing through the web looking for article, clips, and videos about her ascent. But more often than not, in this fast paced world of ours, time is a luxury that few can afford. Given that time is a precious commodity, Phil Bolsta’s blog, for me is one of the best, if not the best, compilation of Charice’s life story and guides longtime Chasters and newcomers quest for a definitive, comprehensive, and orderly chronicle of Charice’s career thus far. I, for one, would recommended that it be placed again on the recommended pages and even become a featured link especially for newly converted fans.
Once again, I truly appreciate the time and effort of CM and all the people behind it, and all the Chasters all over for making CM what is it today.

I am a Chaster because of Charice and Charicemania. When I discovered Charice almost exactly a year ago I knew nothing about her music style, the artists whose songs she covered were just names for me and, unlike some other countries in East Asia, the Philippines was a white spot on my mental map. All these things have now changed, of course. This is thanks to Charicemania where I visit every day.
Charicemania is a group of people in flux. Anciano Uno, who I met in the chatroom is no longer with us. His illness and death were strongly felt by the Chaster community. Others have stopped contributing for various reasons. GM, KV, Fashionista, Lolo Lando, 18wheeleredy, and JP are people I have appreciated but don’t see much in today’s Charicemania. BlessedSoul wrote about Charice’s concerts in Italy, but was also instrumental in getting her known there. This is a great piece of work.
The great thing with Charicemania is that it is a group effort. Some people leave but others appear or come back after an absence. There is only one member of the group who is indispensable, the elusive Admin, who we seldom see but who made the Charicemania site possible and who keeps the software in near-perfect condition. To him and to his staff members I send my congratulations. You are a great bunch of people.
Charicemania’s mission to make Charice known around the world may never have an end. What Charicemania has accomplished, however, is that it has turned a stranger like myself into a friend, and into a fan of Charice. Thank you.

Thank you Charice fans all over the world for supporting Charicemania. As a fan it is my habit to visit this site for news about our princess Charice. Since it’s creation i’ve been a fan of both Charicemania and Charice. Compared to other fan sites of Cha this one is above the field.
