We have a little twist to the contest. Not only can we win $1000 for Operation Smile, but we can also win in the weekly contest for a Netbook that goes to the fruitcake earning the most points for the week. However, Charice is not eligible to win a personal prize because, according to the eligibility rules, she is not 18 years old and she is not a legal resident of the United States. (This was confirmed with PayPal and Operation Smile).
Soooo, to make a long story short, Charice has given her blessing for a Chaster to GO FOR IT and win the Netbook for our efforts in putting Operation Smile on top during this whole Fruitcake Campaign. The credit goes to all of you for donating and regifting like crazy since this contest began. For today’s #CharityTuesday and the rest of this weekly contest till midnight, December 28th, the Charicemania team has generously voted to promote my fruitcake to win the weekly Netbook. I LOVE my team, thank you! Hope you’ll all support me as well.

Remember, this does not hurt Charice’s fruitcake at all because she has 63,000 points, an astounding 21,000 points ahead of the next runner-up. It doesn’t hurt Operation Smile either because ALL of the fruitcake points and donations are added together toward winning the $20,000 prize. We are well on our way to winning it!
This weekly prize period ends on December 28th, and one more Netbook will be awarded for the week ending January 4, 2010, for the fruitcake that earns the most points during that weekly period. Keep in mind, also, that it is a team effort. There are 155 total Operation Smile fruitcakes worth another 10,000+ points that are helping to win the Grand Prize. All of the dollars donated and points for every single fruitcake is counted toward the grand prize. Charice has raised $3,485 out of a total $4,920 donations. That’s a substantial chunk. A few hundred that might go to another fruitcake will not take away from her accomplishment. Again, Charice will be acknowledged for the win.
The netbook contest is a weekly contest. There’s no announcement of these winners and no additional exposure to be had for the winner of the weekly prize, nor negative exposure for Charice. If that is your concern, again it is unfounded.
Charice cannot win any prizes personally because she is not yet 18 yrs old and does not live in the United States. These are standard contest rules in the U.S. including this contest. She can only participate in the $20K Grand Prize to win ON BEHALF OF Operation Smile. It would take maybe 4-5,000 points for any one chaster to win the weekly netbook in my estimation. With Charice already at 62,000 points, it will not diminish her status as the CHIEF FRUITCAKE.
Please look at Ryan Seacrest’s home page again. It says “Help Charice Win $20,000 for Operation Smile By Regifting Her Fruitcake.” That’s the big picture and the most important prize that we’re all shooting for.

and because ryan seacrest is also supporting charice in this event , he is expecting charice to lead the charge for OS to win , and maybe post it in his blog that charice wins #charitytuesday for OS…but if other chasters wins this event, there will be 0 exposure for charice…. 0% chance that ryanseacrest will gonna congratulate charice for the win…
I thought we are doing this thing to show the world that charice influence in charities is powerful, that charice helped OS in winning the 20k$ , but this idea is not about charice but for the price
