Operation Smile has been selected by PayPal to be one of 25 charities to participate in a holiday campaign on Twitter and Facebook called “Regift the Fruitcake.” Through this campaign, which ends December 31, Operation Smile has the opportunity to win $20,000. “Regift the Fruitcake” is an easy way for celebrities such as Charice to use their social networks to help raise awareness and funds for Operation Smile.
In takes only a few minutes to make and send a virtual fruitcake on PayPal’s website, and then send it to all Charice’s friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter. The more friends and followers that “regift” Charice’s fruitcake and make their own fruitcake to send to friends on Facebook and Twitter, the more points Operation Smile receives. The charity with the most points overall wins $20,000.

Born in the Philippines, Charice has been entertaining audiences on stage and television across Asia for several years. Her immense talent as a performer came to the forefront in the U.S. after people began seeing her on YouTube.
Her United States television debut on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and several performances that followed on the Oprah Winfrey Show brought her to the attention of 15-time Grammy winning producer and songwriter David Foster, who then signed her to his label 143/Reprise Records. Charice’s fruitcake is back on the “Final Listings” at #1 !!!!
Thanks to her many supporters and other Operation Smile supporters, Charice finished #1 out of over 1400 individual fruitcake results and Operation Smile finished #1 out of the 25 charities.

Thanks Noellen for letting me know about the computer glich. I followed the directions below and just donated $5 to five new fruitcakes different than those I donated to earlier:
A donation in $5 increments to a new and different fruitcake earns 75 bonus points. Therefore a $20 donation is worth 600 points if you donate to 4 different and unique fruitcakes. A “unique” fruitcake is defined as a fruitcake that you have not already donated to; otherwise you do not get the 75 bonus points. The minimum donation to earn points is $5, hence 4 different fruitcakes. Time is almost up so everyone go donate now, Please!

I just checked the all time fruitcake standings and Charice’s fruitcake no longer shows on the list or any other list. I have seen others that have met their goal, so why does Charice’s no longer show? We are coming up on the last day and I want Operation Smile to win.

I’m gonna try this “Regift the Fruitcake” program, but i’m just not that tech savy. I will try to follow the directions and have my daughter’s and ask some friends to participate. What a worthy cause.

I have always believed in the saying that, you can’t give what you don’t have.This operation smile is a worthy project to support fully to give children to be happy and become well adjusted adults.Charice has a lot of smiles and help to give because she has healed herself from within.I hope goodwill from these charities spill over to our homeland and benefit those who need most.I’d say bless Charice, the world and the children.

Can you imagine the joy these parents felt when they first saw their children with a new smile? Can you imagine the heartbreak suffered by these children caused by facial deformities that they had no control over?
