[NEW VIDEO ADDED] Last Sunday night after she blew away the crowd at the Fil-Am (FASO) Concert in Pasadena, Charice joined Charicemania’s Community Chat Room for an evening that all present will not soon forget. She sang snippets of several songs and was quite the entertainer, as usual. Listen for yourself on YouTube, made available by one enterprising Chaster who recorded the fun for all of us to share.
Below, Charice dedicates a song especially to PhoenixSong (aka Ashley) at 1:00 when she learned that Phoenix was standing by the ET room for 17 hours, just waiting for Charice to appear! Awww, Phoenix says it was worth the wait, even though she was practically keeling over on her webcam, eyes droopy from fatigue. And then Charice serenaded us with several song snippets: Breathe In-Breathe Out, When I Was a Boy (Beyonce), the mash-up of Already Gone (Kelly Clarkson) and Halo (by Beyonce), Domino, The Climb, and, finally, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. She also gave us flowers, lol at 3:45, and confirmed that Pyramid’s “club” version will be released this month and the “pop” version later on January 1st, 2010.
The ET room allows you to “dock” up to 3 people at a time so you have video as well as audio of 3 persons. There were up to 70 people total in the room, many not having a webcam or microphone hook-up, but you could also text message like the regular chatbox. So the screen was moving pretty quickly at times and you had to read faaast, lol.
Charice said her looong good-byes after an hour, quite funny, so she could have her dinner. However, ‘MommyRaqz’ slash/Charice (in disguise? hehe, probably both of them again) returned a short while later to join us, with their video turned off this time. And they chatted by text just like the rest of us, and took turns with the chasters singing – Marty, Alex, and Phoenix, in particular, still hanging on after now 18 hours! Phoenix sang a couple of songs, including Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Charice and MomRaqz were so impressed that Mom invited Phoenix to contact her on Skype so she could give her some personal tips on singing techniques. Needless to say, Phoenix jumped on the opportunity right away. She returned to ET room a short time later, on cloud nine, to report that she got to have a one-on-one conversation with Charice on Skype, wow!
Well, it was a priceless evening for all of us, and especially for PhoenixSong. We’re all jealous, in a good way. Charice and MommyRaqz are so humble and down-to-earth to visit us occasionally in the ET room, just being ‘one of the guys.’ Thank you, Charice and MommyRaqz. We love you!

Very well said Hayna. Charice or any other artists don’t OWE us anything.. but maybe some gratitude. Her music is a good it in itself, it sells by itself. These appearances as Hayna said are spontaneous, non chalant, and just kind of like a hang out type of thing because Charice and family are a such a humble group of people that loves her fans so much. It is really amazing the amount of attention she gives time and time again to her fans. She even helps people out with MATH problems in yahoo answers.. We need to appreciate all the moments instead of being critical. I was pretty critical, judgmental.. and would retaliate as reflex.. all actions of negativity before I learned more about Charice. If you love her music and her voice, you should learn from how she sustains that powerful energy.. which is humbleness, love, laughter.. positive things.

At the start of the video posted by papaglyn (7:47 min), Charice was already in the middle of greeting her fans in the ET room. The first name she said here is “temecula” THAT’S ME ! (I live in Temecula, California)

I feel that those who view Charice’s presence in the ET room NEGATIVELY are missing the whole point. One of the many reasons Charice is well-loved by those who follow her is because she is such a natural without a hint of hypocrisy. She is like a breath of fresh air.
On the contrary, despite the feeling deep inside that Charice is not really interacting to promote herself but rather it is true reflection of her gregarious, friendly, accommodating, and entertaining nature, these chance encounters between Cha and her fans deepen that bond that exists between her and the people who follow her thus “PROMOTING THE PRODUCT” as you have written in capital letters. The best part is that it is all so carefree and spontaneous just like a conversation one has with close friends. Unwittingly, Cha endears herself even more to her fans who, in turn, will spread the word about her much further.
The fact that she does not see herself as a cut above her fans and just views herself as one with them and in the same level albeit with a unique and marvelous talent, will only increase the affection her fans have for her because they feel she is just like one of them; a friend, a neighbor, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a confidant. Charice is all of these to all her fans who were lucky enough to be in the ET room and to all who know that she values her fans so much to treat them like she does a neighbor, a sister, a brother, a mother, a father, a grandparent, etc. Charice is just being Charice and we love her for it.
She is born to sing. Every fiber in her is geared towards singing, performing, and spreading joy through her God-given talent whatever the venue, wherever the venue, whatever the medium. If she so happen desires to sing on the internet, with a webcam, with a hoodie, on Skype, in the ET room, then so be it! If that is the way she thinks she can satisfy the craving of her fans while the next “official” performance is yet to be scheduled, then I am all for it. Can you think of any other celebrity, local or international, who regularly does this? Such is the value that Charice puts on her fans. Lucky are we who believe in her.

just woke up, actually, since after i finished chatting at 9:30am (finished talking with cha at around 6:30am, then still chatted with alex, jonbudz, wyip, arz), after 21.5hrs on ET room. i had to go to london at 10am, so i went after a quick shower. hehe…went without sleep the whole day, and then hibernated for 14hrs. wahahaha!

I “hate you” very much with envy!!! (LOL) There were four of us entertaining each other (with Alex and Jessie)while trying to kill the time waiting for Charice to appear, but my migraine got head of me so I had to pull back at around 3.30 am. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa what I missed!!!

As another Chaster said, its not about a glossy technically superior product. CARRnCANADA spent his time recording it and couldn’t control the background noise. All Charicemania was intending to do was provide our fans with a bit of enjoyment, and believe me, to those present it was a joy. I have re-inserted the video. You do not have to watch it.
I was there. It’s lots of fun. I failed to sing for Charice and her mom. But asking her question and talked to her on the chat is a memorable experience. Love it! I’m first again here… geee.
