Hi rob47, I think (unless the band recently hired another Filipino) that Black Eyed Peas have only one Filipino member in the band. Allan Pineda (aka: apl ap de ap) is the co-founder of the band. He is also half African American. Born in the PI and came to the U.S. in his pre-teens (I think) through the petition of his American adopted parents. According to his biography, he was very homesick in the U.S., and had a hard time fitting in. His new parents hired a babysitter, who would always bring her son with her. This boy became apl ap de ap’s best friend, his name is William James Adams, Jr.. They played together, but mostly they danced and sung in their free times. Eventually they organized a group which became a hit in their school. Their group went through many transformations until it became what it is today. Please visit wikipedia for more info. Filipino Volunteerism/Talents recognized

There will be a replay of the “10 Heroes of the Year” award on Saturday and Sunday (11/28 & 11/29), on CNN, at 8:00 PM eastern time. Efren PenaFlorida, a Filipino, was chosen as CNN’s Hero of Year.

With people like Efren PenaFlorida, Charice, Manny Pacquiao, Arnel Pineda and the two Filipino members of the Black Eyed Peas, the Philippines is slowly being recognized by the whole world for our talents. We should be very proud of them.

Some journalists need to get their facts accurate before posting it online for everyone to read. Charice is not going to be a voice of the chipmunk. She’s appearing as herself as a rival singer of the chipmunks where she used her own amazing voice.

CHARICE, please open your eyes, in case you come across with my comment, while you are being admired by american for your talent, you are being destroyed by the power of “live broadcasting” in the philippines trying to destroy your relationship with your adopted brother “rhap salazar”. What a shame, issues after issues are re-appearing, why is that ??, You are just trying to make a living and this is what you get from the “so called friends”. I know you can swipe away this new issues..Poor you !!
