Pinoys in Metro Vancouver especially all the die-hard fans of Charice Pempengco, were overjoyed after their singing idol joined them in a lunch at Earls in Yaletown last November 9. Charice fans known as “Chasters” were elated at a luncheon event organized by Chris, Eve, and Madz Ordonio in cooperation with Sulyap Productions headed by Randy Mangalindan and BJ Correa.
This event was even broadcast to all Charice’s fans around the world on her fan based website: charicemania.com. The said luncheon was a fitting celebration for Charice after a successful sold out concert with David Foster and friends at GM place the night before.

Having the privilege to be one of the special guest of Mr. Foster, marks the first time that Charice visited Vancouver after her rise to fame in the US. Madz Ordonio presented a teddy bear to Charice from “Chasters” of Vancouver, which the latter absolutely adored.

In return Charice sang “Happy Birthday” and “Maligayang Bati” for two of the guests, who incidentally were celebrating their birthdays that time.

Charice and family were very approachable, warm, and accommodating.
Vancouverites fans will now await the return of Charice in 2010, which is expected to be a full-house crowd concert.
Charice has come a long way since getting discovered from YouTube, few years ago. Her astounding appeal will definitely last as long as she continues to be a humble and simple person.

Charice spent time with each chaster as she went around the table to take pictures with each & every one, signed autographs galore, and took many group and candid photos. Ian served as our official charicemania photographer while I took the photos with everyone’s personal cameras. The staff at Earl’s were wonderful as they accommodated our raucous group and served lunch & dessert graciously as we’re all having a great time, not necessarily staying in our seats! The ET Room was LIVE throughout the two-hour luncheon as Charice hammed it up, showed off Roxy, the build-a-bear (that was actually a doggie lol), sang Happy Birthday, and just had a fantastic, good time.

siane, you’re a sweetheart! and chamu too. It’s a great idea to do that, i’m glad the restaurant had wi-fi. Charice surely is a high-tech gal lol. She’s so much fun, now we find out you have more video, waahhh..!!!! I have video of the concert, but I can’t find the wire to connect to my computer to upload, boohoo. Yes, we want to see that for sure, edited for all the best parts, I guess. Christmas gift, ok? for all the nice chasters, hehe

my chamoment a memorable unforgettable experience, the video is the witness that charice is full of energy and happiness, i can’t stop of watching charice all the time, good thing i turn on my videocam before its too late, but still on going editting, i hope i can upload the video before christmas as my chasters christmas gift hahahaha….
