Celebrity figure skater Michelle Kwan will join Naperville native and current men’s world champion Evan Lysacek as well as “American Idol” singer Jordin Sparks at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates Sept. 19.
“Skate for the Heart” will be a special event combining top skaters and popular singers to raise awareness of heart disease.
Others in the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will be 2009 ice dancing world silver medalists Ben Agosto and Tanith Belbin, 2009 U.S. champions Alissa Czisny and Jeremy Abbott and 2009 U.S. pair champions Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker.
Joining Sparks in the musical portion of the show will be 16-year-old sensation Charice Pempengco, the male quartet Honor Society and the female quintet KSM.
Kwan – a two-time Olympian, five-time world champion and nine-time national champion – will join fellow skating legend Peggy Fleming in hosting the show.
Lysacek, who in March won the World Figure Skating Championship, will return to the Chicago suburbs for the show as he prepares to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver in February.
Tickets for the show come in different seating categories costing $30, $52, $67, $87 or $187 to be on the ice itself.

Wow! I drove from Chicago to I-90 west then exit to Beverly road going north and then next street is prairie stone pkwy. I made a right there, Oh! that’s where Charice will perform in that Sears Centre Arena on this coming Sept.19. They have a big wide free parking area. But there’s still roads under construction on the way to the Arena and hopefully will get done by then. I bought tickets there for me and for my family. For the first time, we’re gonna see you charice in your live performance. See you guys there!

okay let us see if she can still hit high notes on 18 and 19 to think that she was being scheduled to be a guest again on 6 and 13 on
abs- cbn wowowee show maybe she will sing three to four songs on that show if i try to follow HER SCHEDULE from december 2008 its more on abs cbn side..im not saying that she will stay or live in the U.S. what im trying to say just be charice voice just be her voice to her U.S management..another thing is that i always heard willie revillame (host of abs cbn wowowee show) always thanking atty. Michael Gurfinkel so what does that mean of course they are connected
scheduling Charice for a gig, then throw them on a plane back to the Philippines only to immediately perform another gig – THEN immediately put them back on a plane to the USA to perform another gig just hours after they land! take a look at her performance on Mc Donalds its obvious that her voice is really tired because its a fact that a person cannot perform well enough if shes exhausted/very tired and to think that shes very young.. i know that you notice what i noticed.. no offense its my opinion

Folks here’s how I understand Charice schedule
SEPT 18 BIG E, MASSACHUSSETT
SEPT 19 SKATE FOR THE HEART CHICAGO
SEPT 20 15TH ANNIV OF KAPAMILYA GREAT AMERICA, SANTA CLARA CALIF.
THIS IS A TEST,LET SEE HOW THEY WILL HANDLE THE “KAPAMILYA”
SHOW.
Coming from the east coast with back to back show, “KAPAMILYA” better have a plan to avoid embarassement, I pray, that everything turn out positive. As far as I am concern, CHARICE, is the MAIN EVENT ON “KAPAMILYA” show….others participants are not international or global, or maybe just using Charice name so they can sell ????? Just a thought.
