Charice Pempengco, the latest protégé of “hitman” David Foster, will wow audiences at The Big E’s Comcast Arena Stage on Friday, September 18 at 8 p.m. in a free show. A true diamond in the rough, Charice is a natural and momentous choice to kickoff the fair on Opening Day.
Charice is someone who knows what it takes to make it. She fabricated her own success out of nothing and wound up with everything. Her wild ride of a singing career began on Little Big Star, a show loosely patterned after American Idol, which premiered on Filipino television in 2005. He met with her and has served as her mentor ever since. There are a couple of Things to note about this concert. Tickets are free. The only fee you have is $10 admission fee to the fairgrounds.
Th arena is an open air venue seating about 5,500. It will be first come, first serve for the seats. I would hate to travel hundreds of miles and then find I could not get a seat.
I’m not sure what inclement weather policy is in effect there, but I would think the concert could be rained out. I hope some Chasters who live in the New England area can give us information about nearby accommodations and any other information that would be welcome.
