Note to God: Pay it Forward!

1pay it forward ntg 75x75 Note to God: Pay it Forward!Charice fans all over the world are asking:  How do we help keep Charice’s newly released single “Note to God” at the top of the charts? Or more appropriately, how do we return the song to the top of the charts and keep it there? Based on the tremendous response to the question, “What have you done for Charice today?”, Chasters definitely have plenty of great ideas on how to promote Charice’s song/career.  Furthermore, you, her fans, are eager to take action!

This article will explain below how to implement the Pay it Forward approach to turn everyone into a Charice fan.
..

What’s PAY IT FORWARD?

There’s a movie about this. You can read about it in Wikipedia. I’ve never seen it, but the basic idea is to give to/help someone without expecting anything in return. Instead you ask them to Pay it Forward. They ‘repay’ the favor by giving to someone else who ‘repays’ the favor by giving to someone else, and so on. Instead of two people giving and receiving, you have an unending chain of people giving and receiving.

I believe it is a way we can practice generosity, loving kindness and turn everyone into a Charice fan. By setting an example on how to be one!

Did your jaw just drop?  Did you think I’m off my rocker? Did you say, I’m talking like a hippie?

How about, “It’s possible.”  Better yet, it’s doable!
..

Here’s How:pay it forward ntg1 Note to God: Pay it Forward!

I have 50 copies of Note to God in my hands. In addition, there were pledges from 18-W-E (20), pinecay_isle (100), marvin18 (5), Nikki (15), Jayrox (20), vil26216 (30) and a few others for additional copies of NTGs for distribution. Gandalf and Max supplied the copies for the contest winners and we didn’t need the pledges. But here’s how we can put those copies to use and expand Charice’s network of fans all over the world.

Let’s start with the 50 copies in my possession (24 copies came from justcharrie). I’ll forward two or more copies of NTG to each of you willing to start your Pay it Forward chains. One copy you keep, the other(s) you give to someone who doesn’t have a copy. The only thing you ask them is to listen to the song, and if they like it, to talk about it to others and buy the song and give it to someone else, who will buy the song and give it to someone else, and so on.

Did I hear someone say, “Gee, why don’t everyone just buy their own then?”  But you see, not everyone knows about Charice. The idea is to introduce her to those who are not yet fans. We do it by giving. You are all already doing this. All those who bought multiple copies of the song, raise your hand?  See. Thought so.  The difference is that we are asking people to do what we do. But we do it nicely, softly. We don’t shove Charice down their throats. Charice doesn’t require a hard sell. We simply introduce Charice to our friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. They, in turn, do the same. If they choose to.

What if they don’t?  Then they don’t. Not everyone will. Not initially anyway.  And there will always be those who will simply opt for the free copy with no intention of Paying it Forward.  That’s OK. Remember: We’re giving with no expectations of a return. But Charice will do the rest. We all know, sooner rather than later, resistance is futile.  Just be around to help them with their new found Chaddiction.

As a matter of fact, after you give a copy to someone, check in with them. Follow up. Ask what they thought of the song; how they liked it or not liked it.  Let’s not assume they will.  But if we open a dialogue and are truly interested in what they have to say, this feedback is, not only valuable information for Charice and her management team, but will also win you points with the other person. We all appreciate when we’re heard.

If your friend, family or co-worker likes the song and is now interested in learning more, you can refer them to Charicemania and all the other sites that feature Charice. Be sure to point them to Oprah’s YT videos, Charice’s official site as well.

So that’s it! Anyone interested in starting their chains of Paying Note to God Forward, email me at kyotovisitor@charicemania.com . I will email the NTG copies that you need. All I ask is you copy me with your emails to those you are giving the song to.  Please do NOT ask the person you give the song to to copy me on the email they send to whoever it is they give to. I don’t want to receive a million emails!  It would be nice if there’s a way to track this though.

So, 18-W-E, Nikki, pinecay_isle, marvin18, jayrox, vil26216 and anyone else out there who is already doing this, go for it.  We would love to get occasional updates on your Pay it Forward experience. It’ll help us fine tune our efforts for her first full international album!

We can apply this Pay it Forward approach creatively, just like Joy Co did. She gave an iPod so someone could listen to the song Note to God. True giving is responsive and natural, not contrived. As Charice’s fans, this should come naturally to us because we all want to help her achieve her dream. That is our dream now. So let’s create a breathing, living, dynamic and organic network of talking her up, bringing her presence, her art to the collective consciousness of all earthlings. The Pay it Forward approach to this goal is not only potent, but sustainable because it is shared.

Oh, one last thing: Buying pirated copies of Note to God to do this Pay it Forward promotion misses the whole point! If the goal is to make Note to God a global hit and Charice a global superstar, buying pirated copies is a big no no. You can only reach the top of the charts if your record sells, your song is played all over and demand is sustained over time. Buying pirated copies support the pirates, not Charice.  So let’s not do that. Thank you!

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I can feel the heat from my vacation….lol. I am back to splash water on these threads with all the heated exchanges and all the people who were either hurt or offended. So, consider yourselves splashed with water, so I can put out the fire in this Charicemania house..lol.

To the innocent bystanders, we apologize for any inconvenience that these heated exchanges caused anyone. Please do know that most people here are genuinely nice; people who are either coming face to face with cultural differences and still adapting to each other’s ways. So, please be patient, show understanding and love one another and give love and kindness to all…

And NO…we are not being biased with people, you all have to remember that this is a volunteer work for everyone and we all do require sleep and have to tend to our own personal lives. We don’t always catch the provoking comments that are hateful, hurting or just plain arrogant in nature. And if we did miss the bad ones, yes we will admit that some bad comments slipped out of our hands. We do try to remove them as soon as we get to them, anything that may continue to add fuel to the fire. That doesn’t mean we allow one person to get away with it and not the other. So, stop all the accusation and bickering folks… hehe… Don’t assume we love you any less just because your comment was removed. Sometimes you guys mean well, but sometimes certain words used can still cause a ripple effect that continues to add fuel to the fire. Also, remember none of us are perfect and we are trying to handle things the best possible way. It will require all of us as a community of loving people to be patient with one another and just move on…

So, folks chill, chill, chill, considered yourselves splashed with water and hope the fire is out of everyone’s hot head… haha!! 18wheelerdy!! Please wheel in the whole fire truck so we can put out the fire in this house… hehe. Help me clean up the ashes folks!!! Clean up! Clean up! Time!! Clean house …clean house time…hehe.

Go cool off folks and redirect your minds to something fun and exciting, go play our guessing game…lol..hehe

Peace to all and God bless…

    Maria aka GM

    pj1213,

Thanks for the heads up. As far as the lyrics accompanying my emails, the recipients were perfectly satisfied. I inserted it here so it could be used if desired.

Do you have a copy of the lyrics you describe?

Here’s the problem. No matter how many copies of her song we all buy,,it isn’t going to help.. People in other countries can’t buy it.. She is not getting the exposure she needs right now. I don’t know if her manager is all that great. After the Oprah show, it was gangbusters, but now has died done to nothing. I haven’t seen her do any shows besides in the Phillipines. She needs to get on more mainstream tv like Letterman, The tonight Show, The Today Show, ECT, to promote her song. Also, I have never heard her song on the radio in the USA. If I was her manager, I would be doing a better job of getting her noticed. I love her and want the best for her,,but it doesn’t seem to be happening.

    Note to God
    Written by Dianne Warren

If I wrote a note to God
I would speak what’s in my soul
I’d ask for all the hate to be swept away,
    For love to overflow
If I wrote a note to God
I’d pour my heart out on each page
I’d ask for war to end
For peace to mend this world
    I’d say, I’d say, I’d say

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is overdue
And it looks like we haven’t got a clue
    Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is going wrong
    On this road we’re on

If I wrote a note to God
I would say what on my mind
I’d ask for wisdom to let compassion rule this world
    Until these times
If I wrote a note to God
I’d say please help us find our way
End all the bitterness, put some tenderness in our hearts
    And I’d say, I’d say, I’d say

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is overdue
And it looks like we haven’t got a clue
    Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is going wrong
    On this road we’re on

    No, no no no
We can’t do this on our own
    So

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is overdue
And it looks like we haven’t got a clue
    Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is going wrong
    On this road we’re on

If I wrote a note to God

If you do not like it, please keep it as my gift, no strings attached.
