International singing sensation Charice is now gearing up for her appearance in one of the most popular TV shows in Italy.
In an exclusive interview with Charice’s mom, Racquel Pempengco confirmed that she and her daughter will be guesting again on the popular musical variety show “Ti lascio una canzone (I’m Leaving a Song for You).”
“Magi-Italy pa kami. ‘Yon iyong isang TV show, ‘yong highest rated show sa Italy yong ‘Rai Uno’, ” Racquel said. She added that the Rai Uno show’s producers were so thrilled with Charice that they asked her to sign a contract obligating to her perform again on the show.
“Nag-perform na siya noon. Bago pa man siya kumanta ay pinapirma na kami ng kontrata na babalik siya. So ini-schedule agad kasi rehearsal pa lang, practice pa lang ay nata-taranta na sila. Gusto nilang bumalik talaga (si Charice),” she said.
According to Mrs. Pempengco, Charice is set to perform in Rai Uno before the end of this month. “‘Yong sa Rai Uno ay (May) 23 taping ‘yon (tapos) May 31 ang airing nila,” she said.
The mother also confirmed that Charice will be the sole guest on the show for that special episode.
Just last May 18, Charice unveiled her first international single, “Note To God,” on the hit American talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” It became one of iTunes’s and Amazon.com’s bestsellers just hours after the world saw her sing it live for the first time.
Charice and her mother are currently in the United States to complete her first international album, which is scheduled to be released later this year. She is also set to stage her first solo concert this coming June.

With so many mothers and fathers reminding her to be grounded, I am sure that she’s intelligent enough to heed the well-meaning reminders. Stardom has its pitfalls so she needs them.

Wow!!! Another awesome performance by Charice…
I think her performances in San Remo are the best and more successful in terms of audio and video quality!!! And the Italians loved and admired Charice so much and I’ve read from the comments/articles of the show that it almost doubled the percentage of the viewers on tv…
I also admired the venue of the shows, so colorful indeed and the musicians were energized everytime Charice and her co performers rendered those beautiful and powerful ballads…
I’m so grateful to the Italians by giving Charice a warm welcome and always showering her with praises everytime she nailed all those songs…Charice really captured the hearts from different races, young and old…Really Charice rules!!!!!

I’m going to be in Charice heaven. First, I will watch her blow Italy away Saturday, then America Monday morning, It may take a few days to settle back down.

Lololando I agree 100% with your comment#21, watching charice performs live is ten times better than listening or watching her on youtube or on TV as far as the quality and power of her voice are concerned, my husband was finally convinced how good she is when we watched the recent DF and friends live concert in LV…so with our friends who were with us (10 of us went to this concert). She was so amazing.
