International young sensation Charice is set to appear on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” for the third time to promote the carrier single of her first international album. Charice confirmed to “The Buzz” Sunday that the episode will be aired in the United States on May 18. “Kinanta ko ‘yong first single [ko] sa States and it’s called ‘Note to God,’” said the pint-sized singer, who Winfrey fondly calls “little girl.” Charice had twice appeared on Oprah. Her first appearance was when the popular show featured the world’s smartest kids and Charice was one of them.
During her second guesting, “Mommy Oprah,” as how the Filipino singer addresses the American television host, featured on her talk show Charice’s humble beginnings. Winfrey is widely recognized as one of the world’s most influential people.
It was also then that Charice was invited by her idol Celine Dion to appear on the singer’s concert.
On May 9, Charice will pay tribute to Dion in a Las Vegas concert. She will be joined by other international singers such as Brian McKnight, Clay Aiken and her crush, Josh Groban.
‘My Inspiration’
Charice is in the country to promote her second album called “My Inspiration” under Star Records. Its carrier single is “Always You,” an original song.
The singer and her mother, Raquel, also sang “You & Me Against the World,” which is their first duet.
Among the tracks included in the album are “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “I’ll Be There,” “For Mama,” “You’ll Never Stand Alone,” “You Raised Me Up,” “Through The Years,” and “In My Life.”
Charice will celebrate her 17th birthday on May 10. Her birthday wish? It’s more blessings from God.

By now I suppose most of you have watched the Oprah Show. What a stupendous performance and interview. You could tell Charice was visibly shaken by the magnitude of it all. Charice said she was so nervous she thought she would faint. I think Oprah was afraid of that also.
Everybody was stunned, including Diane Warren and Mr. Foster, but especially Oprah. The audience’s standing ovation even before she finished was a magnificent gesture, especially since none of the performers received one. The whole experience was surreal.
Charice gets an A plus for the interview. Even though she was still shaken, she could contain her joy at how today was for her career. Her diction was perfect. I recorded the whole event. Guess what I will do until midnight tonight. hehe
The fairy tale continues, stay tuned. Buy her single, tell everybody you know to buy it as well. I plan to convert the VCR tape to DVD so I can put it on a viewer and play it for some of the groups I have told about the show.
I wonder if I can get a ticket to her performance in Italy? Maybe 18WheelerEdy will buy me a plane ticket.

That was one spectacular rendition of the song Note To God. My soul was held captive at the moment when your voice echoed and re-echoed trying to reach God’s attention of your wish for peace, love and strength to carry on our life’s journey to our destiny. I’m in the prime of my life and I was just inexplicably carried away by your interpretation. That brief moment abruptly brought me back to reflect and measure how far I’ve traveled since then to the present. My memory couldn’t vividly grasp the significant events of my past, but all I see are just colors, the colors of life. Tears ran down my cheeks as I watch you teary-eyed and pleading. i don’t usually post comments here…being one of the “readers only”…haha..but i just can’t contain myself when i heard charice sing on oprah.
i agree that she didn’t just blow the roof off, but the whole building too, and possibly have blown her way into the hearts of all the people in the world with this inspirational and mind-blowing song.
it brought tears to my eyes and a peculiar ache in my heart to hear charice sing this song…a mix of amazement, joy, and pride, as well as a bit of regret that charice had to suffer a lot to get to this point. i am also in awe that a person can deliver such an powerful, mind-blowing, yet also touching but haunting performance.
this just made me love charice more and more…despite all the people that says bad things about her, i believe that this girl WILL make it and WILL be one of the greatest singers of all time!
i am just so proud!!!

Coloma student to appear on ‘Oprah’ Monday
A Coloma, Mich., student is part of a musical ensemble set to perform on Monday’s “Oprah” show.
Benjamin Farac Jr. will sing with Gold Company, a Western Michigan University musical group.
Western Michigan, located in Kalamazoo, said the school’s vocal jazz ensemble, along with some former and associated members, is slated to perform with pop singer Charice during the show.
The performance was taped April 29, the university press release said.

I’m elated that we are all working together to make Charice a superstar and I’m inspired to do whatever it takes to help her become one. It’s probably a good idea to post something about Charice’s Single Premier in Oprah’s show (we can use the one with her picture) in our work area (Bulletin Board). I should have thought of this earlier but that’s what I’m doing here in Kosovo (Camp Bondsteel) since the show will not be aired until next week.

I tried to purchase MP3 download of Charice single from Amazon.com but I received the following message:
We are sorry… We could not process your order. The sale of MP3 Downloads is currently available only to US customers located in the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia.
It’s probably because my shipping address on file with Amazon is an APO address and I’m physically located in Kosovo which is in Europe? APO address though is usually considered a U.S. address and my billing address is Sugar Land, Texas which is my permanent address so I don’t know what’s the problem. If this is the case then these soldiers that are using APO address can not download the song:(
Anyway, I’ll try to find out from Amazon why I can not download the song or I’ll try to order without using my current account and just use my U.S. address.
