International singer Charice clarified that she did not blame fellow singer Sam Concepcion for a glitch in their song number together on the variety show ASAP on June 15.

Posts on Youtube.com where Charice’s bungled performance on ASAP ‘08 discussed that possibility that there was a conspiracyt to sabotage Charice’ performance. The singer however dismissed the idea and just said that the whole thing was due to last minute changes and a lost email.
According to Charice, ASAP staff promised to email her the new song for the revised repertoire but she did not get any such email. She added that the staff also admitted to her that they forgot to send her the email.
The young diva told abs-cbnNEWS.com that she never blamed anyone, especially Sam, for the glitch.
"Wala akong sinisisi, ang sinabi ko ay inakma nila kay Sam. Hindi ko sinabi na si Sam ang may kasalanan o sinuman ang may kasalanan basta ang sa akin ay hindi nila ako in-update. Pro in-accept naman nila na binago nila ang song at ang lyrics."
Charice admitted that she really cried after the incident, saying that she worried about the impact of the glitch on her international career.
"After ng performance ko naluha ako kasi nahiya ako kasi puro international ang kasama ko tapos ganoon ang nangyari sa akin. Yun po kasi ang unang sumagi sa isip ko after ng performance na ‘yon kasi napo-post ‘yon sa Youtube.
"So, siyempre ‘yun ang nasa isip ko sana kasi inapdate niyo ako kasi hindi lang Pilipinas ang nanonood sa akin, nanooond din siyemore ang mga nag-invite na akin sila Miss Ellen, sila Miss Oprah ‘yung mga tao sa America ang mga foreigners
"Ano na lang ang sasabihin nila na nawawala ako sa tono? Kahit sinong singer biglang last minute sabihin na binabaan ang kanta magkakamali.
Charice said that she’s okay now since she was given her solo performance to regain composure that day also on ASAP wherein she sang "I Have Nothing."
"Pinakanta nila ako ng second song kaya okay lang sa akin yon."
Once again, Charice thanked all her detractors and critics for spending their time making all these buzz since it’s also a way of publicity.
"Lagi kong sinasabi salamat sa kanila ‘yung mga naninira sa akin kasi hindi ba kumbaga hindi naman maiiwasan sa showbiz ‘yan. Nagpapasalamat ako at sa kanila lahat kasi siyempre ‘yung paninira nila sa akin napag-uusapan ako," Charice said.
And for her loyal fans and supporters: "Sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin sa Pilipinas o sa anumang bansa gusto kong magpasalamat kasi pinagtatatanggol nila ako. Sa lahat ng fans ko tinuturing ko silang friend lahat kasi kapag may nang-aaway sa akin pingtatanggol nila ako."

Lesson Learned Charice. Next time, make sure it’s in your contract that any changes made prior to any performance should be made by personally contacting the performer. And if not, then you have the RIGHT to cancel your performance. I wonder why your agent / representative didn’t make sure if there were any changes prior to your performance. Your agent should have prevented you from performing to protect your reputation.
Hats off to you for handling the situation properly. More negatives will come your way, unfortunately for sure, from your fellow Filipinos but as long as you handle these negative situations properly, you’ll rise above them.

I admire Charice for her humility – that although damage has been done to her, she was not inclined to put blames on the culprits of that ASAP fiasco or…conspiracy? For me that was undoubtedly intentional on their side, for whatever purpose…God only knows! In my opinion, these “periahan” class, amateurish and substandard shows are well below Charice’s caliber and would really never bring out her tallent unless she performs a solo. But, would someone like to ride her shoes? Clear enough but what a crude tactic!

I am relieved to hear all the support for Charice after that June 21st incident. I am glad to hear that all of you guys here are defending her. Those Sam Concepcion and Sarah Geronimo fans who continue to bash her are just jealous of Charice stardom. It is such ashame while we Filipinos coming from all over the world (Asia, North America, Europe and Australia) continue to be proud of our Charice. While back home in the Philippines, Nestor Torre and other ABS-CBN (considering its her home studio) would do something stupid to her.
Even if it is a technical glitch, it is still sheer stupidity. Napaka impossible naman yung pangyayari yun na nagkamali ang ABS-CBN eh ang Oprah, Ellen at Paul O’Grady merong rehersal para sigurado ang performance ni Charice tapos sa home-studio eh basta-basta na lang…Don’t they ever realize that Charice wants to give her best and any glitch is a reflection on her performance???? They seems not to get the fact that any exposure of her needs to be consistent????
Its pure and simple sabotage. They want to show the world that though Charice was able to showcase her talent around the world, Sam Concepcion or other ABS-CBN talent are better than her.
Too bad, all of them did not get the exposure which every singer in the Philppines would dream of. Kahit nga sina Regine Velasquez at si Sarah Geronimo di nila nakamit ang exposure ni Charice.
I have no respect whatsoever to ABS-CBN. I do not care if they are millions of loyal fans. “Ethics and values” are given less priority as against cut-throat competition and profit. Just look at their sister company “MERALCO”. From the past, yung paninira nila na nandadaya ang GMA, sobrang dumi kung mag business ang mga stakeholders ng ABS-CBN.
For those who are still bashing Charice, its really pathethic. While you still hang on your “local idols”, Charice is looking towards much brighter future outside your terrain.

We love you. Keep on soaring high. They can not bring you down. Only you can do it to yourself. Continue your hardwork and always pray to your creator.
